Keep in mind while watching this video, uploader has Samsung Epic 4G which happens to have dedicated graphics. Most androids render 3D graphics from the processor, slowing the fps greatly. Where as Epic does not.

@Kolosos007 im not sure about the specs of your phones GPU but the fact that it has one, and a dual core processor leads me to believe that it would run better than the Epic. but also i think the only way for you to get this emulator now is by rooting your phone and getting the APK, because it has been taken off the market since the new Xperia playstation android was released.

Try playing spiderman I am rite now.its 410Mb and its a long download but if u download the rar. Verisons of it and then download androzip and unpack the rar. And tht could take a good 20-30 minutes.then when u go to play on it it takes like 10, mins to finally load up nd den u can play it.its well worth it trust me

@ardotschgoetschgi Well obviously I know it's a psx emu :P. I was just trying to mention the fact that there is no n64 emulator for android even though it is less advanced than the psx (I think). To me, it would be like getting a genesis emulator working before an SNES emulator. I have searched for emulators on the android market and google, but unfortunately, they do not exist yet :'( ( n64droid is actually in development tho, so I guess I'll just have to wait lol)

@saxoman1 The N64 used a lot more processing power for its games. Being in catridges though, meant that the data would be less than a PSX iso. This is why there isnt one yet, because todays phones arent advance enough to process those games, Its possible the Galaxy S and other new ones could pull through though.

The genesis had less processing power than the SNES btw.

@saxoman1 Before this phone even came out I was showing off speculation on how it WILL work since a phone shares more common components with consoles then it does a computer. I kept being told it will be impossible. And now, here it is, ps1 emu. Now if the guy who made it really gets into his code and polishes it, I'm sure it would run flawlessly, especially with the even newer phones coming. I'd say within 2-3 years we will be playing ps2 quality games on our phones!

@bastec666 first off not to be an asswhole but the ps1 emulator has be ruuning fine on the iphone/ipod touch for more than 3 years now..the creator of the iphone emulators(he made more than one)name is zodttd.he originally came from the iphone community and desided to port the emulator over the android.lastly ps2 emulators barley work on pc's and maybe only supports a few games...so im sure in 2-3 years we wont be seeing a ps2 emultor for mobile phones

@xxsandrayxx sorry but a cellphone has a completely different structure then a pc, and the cellphone is actually closer to consoles then the pc. you cannot run a ps1 emulator on a 1ghz computer no matter how much ram you have, yet you can run ps1 games on a cellphone with 1ghz. you should really do your research before you speak. your phone doesn't share the same architecture as your computer, they are completely different, where as phone and console, quite close.

@bastec666 A cellphone has a completely different architecture from a PS1 too and a 1GHz computer can in fact emulate a PS1 quite well. My old 200Mhz computer could emulate the PS1 back in the 90's. The PS1 only had a 33Mhz CPU and 2MB of RAM and the hardware wasn't very complex at all so it doesn't take much to emulate that.

Currently the Best Playstation emulator is for Windows mobile called FpseCE, every game is Fullspeed including Tekken 3 and its compatible with 99% of all the PSX games, but i quess this is ok for first release
