I agree! I've been up all night writing a lab report (it's 5:45) and this has been playing in the background, taking my tired mind somewhere nice.

I got to get my head out of the microscopes every now and then... :P

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THIS FOR ME?!

Today in Biology we were observing bits of algae/pond water under a microscope. My group came across what looked like a clear worm thing and it had some sort of orange blob inside it. My teacher said that orange blob was probably the stomach. Can anyone tell me what this life form is?!?

  • what's ze magnification? HPO LPO oil immersion?

  • @117Alfonso 10x eyepiece x 10x objective (maybe even 20x... it's been like 3 years)... def no oil involved, just good ol' air.

  • @THENAGY13 recorded this in my microbiology lab during my undergrad at ucsc, think they told us if we broke the micropscopes we'd have to fork out something exorbitant like $9000

  • @bdon694 Indeed. It's ironic how the smallest and most humble of organisms are far more interesting than the animals which have mutaited through billions of years of macro-evolution.
