sad song.....i love this song so much, it teach us to care about one another and to always thanks to God for everything happen, that's the best for us...and teach us that we are must help, care one another....have a blessed day a head all...Gbu
I heard this song as child growing up in childrens home in Nepal. I feel like the song was written about me. If you like to know more about it google search for phrase below
My parents left me but I never sang this song. First my Mom left, then my dad gave me up and later my aunt left on the streets and ran way to fend for my self at age 5 yet I never sang this song, but I listened and heard the song as child growing up in Orphanage as child but just 3 months ago i was re-united with my family on live TV in India. But just recently found this song online and now I keep listening it over and over again because it so much relates to me and my life growing up.
I recently had a motorbike crash in England. I had the NHS and my Dad to look after and care for me. What have these kids got? They done no harm, why do they suffer?
It's been such a long time since I heard this heart wrenching song. Visited an orphanage once, broke my heart to see all those children especially the ones staring vacantly, all so lost. Am crying now....
i'am a 46 year old man. my mum used to sing this to me & first time i've heard it in in 40 years gotta admit i've got a tear in my eye & a lump in my throat going to go & give my girls a cuddle
I lost my mum when I'd just turned 8, my dad brought us up on his own. I have listened to this song for years, and used to want it played at my birthday party. My died in 2003 and I'm still lost with out him and mum. I also was adopted but no one could ever compare to my parents
I lost my father when I was nine and I lost my mother recently so this song makes me sad.I know I was lucky to have them for the time I did but the loss never goes away.
I cry every time I hear this. it is so very touching indeed. I was an Orphane once for many years aas a street child. But now discovered I am God's child he made me! with my own special purpose! I have a great gift for Love and compassion, and help people now, as much as I can, to bring people light! and Love. thank you for making this video.
Lots of different versions of this song . But this must be the best by far. excellent vocal and backing . Cannot belive 15 tone deaf nutters have given it the thumbs down.
@Loveisintheair511 No worries, the Lord does have a special purpose made for you. One day you will discover it. I was an Orphan also until 14 and sleeping under a tree a lady found me and took a foster parent course and then I finally had a home, to call my own. Never will find my real dad, but that is ok now, as I have made peace with it. and understand now why my mom left me? It really was so I could have a better life. Ask your foster family to adopt you permanently?
this song always makes me cry.. my mum always play this song when i was kids.. yet a don't know why.. now i know she was nobody's child.. and so do i..
this song always makes me cry.. my mum always play this song when i was kids.. yet a don't know why.. now i know she was nobody's child.. and so do i..
This is a great song. But there are other versions with slightly different lyrics. Ronnie Bell sings a great version where the child is deaf. I wonder which version is the original. All singers including this one are great, however.
When I was little my family used to keep a large cardboard box under the stairs for clothing no longer required. We called it the orphan's box. One day I was rooting about in it and fell head first into it and couldn't get out. After a while I started to sing this song (Well, two lines of it anyway) Mother heard me and came and got me out. Big joke for all the family but after that I only had to start singing it and had my mother just where I wanted her. lol
Its hurting whenever I listen to this song...I wish I can one day adopt a blind child and give him or her the world best attention and show the world that blind, deaf or dumb have great values and their also Precious chld or the Lord Jesus Christ.
This song is very sad and depressing it hurts me whenever I listen ..but its a beautiful song...so guys lend out your hands dont drink a cup of coffee and hamburger u can feed an orphan child.. God will bless u a billions times one day whenever you have a hard ....dont be selfish to keep all the wealth for yourself you dont go down to the coffin with all your wealth share them out when u are alive the Lord will Bless you and your family
This song is so depressing but nice to listen to at the same time.I was a kid of 5 when they used to play it on the airwaves...and its so sad and still is now...

@stritthof2 I wonder how old your girl is now and if she has kept her strong, beautiful sensitivity and sympathy for others. She hope she has not lost them growing up in the cruel, real world.
this song was a song I used to sing for many years in clubs and cabaret and it always touched many peoples hearts,I was asked to record this many times but sadly never did. These days when I do rare shows I find it makes me want to cry when I sing it and I have to stop myself, yes it truly is a beautiful song.

@HCKOT1 Aww ;-) you sound so sweet. I have no parents when my sister was old enough she took me away to live with her. i remember everyone else going away with their new family but me and my sister had to wait till we were old enough to go our own way cause nobody wanted us. Well they wanted her but not me but she didn't go. I love her to bits. I still do get jealous when i go into school and everyone talkes about their parents but i don't care i get to live with my sister!
my Grandads song, he was the youngest of about 12 but there were steps and halfs even in those days. he always sang this to me along wi oh dear what can a matter be,3 old ladys locked in the lavotry. hes got altzeimers now and ive grown up but that song takes me back to cuddling up wi my granda, grandma bringin us a cup of milky sugary tea n loads of biscuits.
People,Father or Mother should not produce children if they desert them at such a young age.If you cannot even attempt to bring a child up,dont have them, pure and simple.
I remember this song when I was a child. The meaning of the words affected me then aswell as now. I still remember it so vividly. It is an amazing song. We can all recognise something in the words. This song still moves me to tears.
OMG [[[ its been years since i listebed to this beautiful song id forgotton how beautiful it was and Karen Young has the right voice to sing this ,,,,,,,,,,,,, a million thanks for posting this the memories it has brought back and a few tears as well xx
I last listened to this song around 1969 when I was 5 years old and felt I identified with it then. Of course I had parents, but the words have such an impact on my life then and now.
My mum past away a couple of years later when I was 11 and my dad never paid me attention. Hence the sad memories of being adopted and then being left alone again.

I last listened to this song around 1969 when I was 5 years old and felt I identified with it then. Of course I had parents, but the words have such an impact on my life then and now.

A beautiful song - today there should be no such thing as "nobody's child." Come on everyone - we have to all stop abusing our children

My mum past away a couple of years later when I was 11 and my dad never paid me attention. Hence the sad memories of being adopted and then being left alone again.

This was the single my parents bought when they adopted me. Sad memories

@velocityjones1 aw, they shouldnt be sad memories. the fact that your parents picked you, makes you even more special.
