Beatles influenced? Of course! It was 1969, everything was Beatle-influenced by then. Look at the drummer for the Archies: Jughead, clearly based on the self-proclaimed greatest drummer of all time, Ringo Starr.
All 32 Giant Jukebox songs written, arranged and produced in the studio soley by Neil Brian Goldberg. (ON THE ROLLING CREDITS OF EVERY SHOW). Jeff Barry gave him the deal. From the Odyssey Channel before it became Hallmark Channel and began to suck wind with endless reruns of depressing programs. Thanks so much for sharing this lost gem with us. Why this song was never issued as a single or included on an album is beyond me.
I am 31 . I bet you can"t imagine the fact i have all the albums but one ...lol the Archie's are my happy place. i sometimes sit in my office an play the albums on my old floor stereo or sit here an watch yoututbe clips of the cartoon as for the last album .yes very hard to find an i have been outbidded on ebay three times
I had three of the Archie's record albums as a kid: "Everything's Archie", "Jingle, Jangle", and "Sunshine" - all were on the Kirshner record label. To my knowledge, all of the original Archies releases have long since gone out of print. You can still find hits compilations here and there, though. Sony Music released one a few years ago that was just called "The Archies".
You must be referring to the 2-album, 20-track compilation set that was released by RCA and Laurie House in 1977. That is a very hard set to find. It would be easier to find The Archies' original 6 Calendar and Kirshner albums released between 1968 and 1971. They show up on eBay frequently, with the exception of their last album, "This Is Love", which doesn't show up as much and is usually quite expensive. However, that 1977 compilation set didn't include any songs from that last album.
16. Bang Shang-a-lang, 17. Rock-n-Roll music, 18. Senorita Rita, 19. Sugar and Spice. Number 20 is the only song I cant remember. But if anyone knows where I can find it, please let me know. thanks.
I want to find their album. I owned it when I was a kid. It had 20 cuts on there. Let's see if I can remember them all. 1. Everything's Archie, 2. Sugar, sugar, 3. Sunshine, 4. Bicycles, roller skates and you, 5. Ride, ride, ride-(My personal favorite), 6.Jingle Jangle, 7. Don't touch my guitar, 8. Kissin', 9. Everything's Alright, 10. Archie's Party, 11. Seventeen Ain't young, 12. Waldo P. Emerson Jones, 13. You make me wanna dance, 14. Feeling so good, 15. Boys and Girls. TBC.
This is one of my favorites by The Archies. I wish Bear Records or Rhino would put out a box set of all these songs in studio quality w/o the sound effects! This should have been an "A-Side"!
Love Vibrations, Mr Factory (the First ecology song) and all 32 of the Giant Jukebox songs (the first positive messages to make children's TV) were written, arranged and produced by Neil Brian Goldberg - a well kept secret.
If memory serves, this was the first song to be played on the first episode of the "Archie's Funhouse" series. Excellent song, and should have been included on one of their albums. One of the best of their 28 unreleased songs.
Afraid not. The only album that included any Archie's Funhouse songs was their "Sunshine" album, and it only included five from the series... Sunshine, Mr. Factory, Dance, Comes The Sun, and One Big Family. The rest of the songs from Archie's Funhouse have never been released.
This video mashes up with "Miracle Man" by Ozzy Osborne.

@StarTrekker711 Can't really say they were Beatles influenced. Jeff Barry's work pre-dates the Beatles by at least five years.

I LOVED the Archies; wanted to be them, wanted a tribute band, some of my earliest attempts at singing were Archies' stuff.
Then I heard Led Zeppelin; it was all over but for the screaming.

This is still a 'hit song'. Someone should re-cut it and put it out as a country rock hit.
I really like it.

This is basically "Sugar Sugar Part 2" since the lyrics are also about infatuation but nevertheless, it's an awesome song!
