This song is very bittersweet for me. When I heard it when I was a kid it was comfort during a lot of physical, sexual and emotional abuse.. His voice in this song was so haunting and comforting. Then when I became heavily addicted to drugs I played this song envisioning the apocalypse hoping I would die before having to get another fix. Now after all of it I find myself clean listening to this song and it partly takes me back to those moments. Other times it opens a new chapter..

@AExodus7 Swervedriver. Check out their first two albums, "Raise" and "Mezcal Head". It is a harder edge shoegaze. If you want to get spacey check out Sianspheric. The album "Somnium" is a good start. Now go out and start staring at your shoes. It is worth it.

Too bad these guys never got a chance in America. I'm from Detroit, "Rock City" and I never heard this song growing up in the 90s. With the way that rock sucks nowadays, it is ashame that alot of bands with real talent back then got overlooked by the huge bands like like Metallica, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etcetera.
