  • Searching for any former members of the 144th E.O.D., Fort Meade, MD, from 1991MAY to FEB1995. Thank You, SGT David B. Bailey.

  • Just enlisted for EOD last month, ship in January. SO EXCITED

  • I'm studying my ass off for my ASVAB in the hopes of qualifying for EOD.

  • @Iwaaaaaaaaaan What you should REALLY be doing is studying for EOD. About 1/3 of AIT platoon were EOD drop outs and one of them made it to the last test and failed because the higher ups didn't like the way he diffused the bomb.

  • @lwaaaaaaaaaan You can only study so much, a lot of what you will learn during your phase one and phase two training will come from your mentor and sergeants that you work with, only piece of advice I can give you is, "Study hard, stay motivated, and make sure you have a strong reason to do what you have to do." do all that and you will be fine.

  • Hey if your EOD whatever branch, Thank you.

  • can somebody pls kick the camera dude in the nuts for his gay "artificial" shaky cam

  • @Skandalos Lets see you do better

  • @AfriedW31n3r *facepalm*

  • Is this Battlefield 3 in game footage?!!!! lol

  • I heard SSG Dean was in this, but couldn't believe it. Bye bye Redstone

  • My brothers an EOD.

  • KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!

  • LOL Sgt Dean taught me at Redstone!

  • LMAO Mitchell yer a superstar lol CASE OF BEER I wonder how many u owe for this one, I mean it has to be easy to keep track so fast paced clicking on all cylinders LMFAO and hurt locker is the Troof!

  • RESPECT

  • is that P diddy? lol jk

  • PunkNJunk, most of these people commenting are PROBABLY somehow military.

As of now, I'm soo fucking close to graduating Redstone, and sure I've tapped a test here and there but MAN! EOD is really what you make it.Well I can at LEAST say that for school, soo far. If you think you're going to be a shitbag, well then you're a shitbag, but have a little confidence and you'll make it all the way through.

CHARLIE ROCKS! CLICK CLICK BOOM! ;D

  • @Mooose201 yeah as with just about anything in life, you just have to want it bad enough, and set your mind to it and just go.

  • @Mooose201

Here we go Wolf Pack here we go!

  • @Mooose201 where are you in class?

  • GO COAST GUARD

  • Navy eod is 100 percent better

  • @dkmarine12345 Unless you are in Navy EOD shut the hell up there both putting there lives on the line and coming out ahead, no one branch is better they all serve there part

  • @USMCSC0UTSniper their* part

  • marine corp ftw

  • ummm no, most people dont get out of bct as pfc's, most get out as pv2's. you dont have to rank up to be in eod..... you pick it as your mos if your asvab score is high enough. then once you comeplete bct you go to redstone arsenal, in huntsville alabama.(may have been transfered to fort lee, in va) not sure.... they were relocating when i was there for 89b. .... i worked along side a lot of 89d.... not very many make it pass redstone, or pass for arb... so if you are going eod.... good luck.

  • woot-woot way to goooo sgt deannnn!!!! wolf pack leads the way sgt......

    pfc. bunting

  • I'm in the military and i have to say this is ridiculously glamorized.

  • @PunkNJunk are you EOD?

  • it's interesting how there is Chinese letter on the shell at 1:24......

  • @peterana00 did you ever think that the shell was made in china????

  • @kloikrules lol good question

  • @chillVibes I failed out in air I wanna go back but its another whole year of not being promoted i dunno..

  • what do you have to get on the asvab to become a EOD?

  • i was goin MP but screw tht im tellin my recruiter EOD all the way tomorrow!!!!!!

  • @qbkiller77

Once afghanistan is over, count me in! Not EOD though. Air assualt school ftw, hoah!

  • @Malarkey31 Dude Afghanistan is awesome!! and i actually went with MP! my cousin spent 15 months as a MP in Afghanistan and had a blast! dotn be afraid of war. lol it aint as bad as whats going on on our streets over here .

  • @qbkiller77 What are the MPs doing over there these days?

  • @BigChiefMike basically they are infantrymen. main job is doing security routes. you usally have 1 driver, a team leader, and a gunner in a hummv. you also do other jobs like gaurd prisons and train the ANP.

  • @BigChiefMike they are pretty much infantrymen with a MP patch lol. they do everything over there. just think of MP meaning MultiPurpose. but your main thing is going in three man teams in a hummv, driver gunner team leader. and clearing out rooms, we do alot of that lol.

  • @Malarkey31 Once Afghanistan is over... The army will be clamping down so hard on enlistments..... By the time Afghanistan is over you will probably be over the age limit to join. They will not spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on not to deploy. You should man-up and speak with a recruiter. If not, you have no place in the military.

  • @uzi9mm

lolz! I doubt that, Just wait til we go to war with iran.

But sure, I'll sign up now, go to A-stan, then get thrown in jail for defending myself. That's living the army life! Afghanistan is flippin basket case and there's no more reason for us to be there. Your not being a soldier over there as much as your being a California highway patrol officer.

Once shit goes down with iran, which will be very soon, count me in and put me on the front line.

  • @Malarkey31 if you are going to wait for the "dangerous" part of the miltiary to be "over" don't join. it doesn't the help the Country in any way. ( unless of coarse you are not yet old enough) decide to join or decide not to don't wait until the war is over.

  • @yooper2

Whoever said I was afraid to enlist because I didn't want to go to war? I'm afraid of getting jailed for doing my job in afghanistan, which isn't a war by the way. We're not fighting a war, we're fighting a gang. A gang we can't win against given the backwards ROE regulations that our troops are told to follow over there. Sorry, I'm sitting this out. Send me an Army brocheour once we go to war with iran. Or perhaps if Gen. Petraeus faints again and doesn't recover, maybe ill go.

  • @Malarkey31 i don't want you in my military you little pussy, your comment below insulted all of the men who have made sacrifices in this war and you don't deserve to wear the same uniform as them

  • @TheRSPatriot

Lmao! I'm sorry sincerely, afghanistan isn't worth it. Call me up once we go to war with iran or north korea.

    11B ftw!

Moreover, your gravely mistaken. I think whoever thought up the rules of engagment for afghanistan is a royal pussy. I think anyone who gladly accepts the rule of don't shoot until shot at has sand in their pussy. But I don't think our enlistee's who go into the military today are even aware of the red tape they need to abide by in A-stan.

  • I scored an 82 on my ASVAB, the line scores are what's important. Minimum score of 110 in the ST area of the ASVAB. I scored around 126. I'm going into MEPS for processing soon and from there I'll still be at home in the future soldier program until they ship me out to basic.

  • @djamur0 can u still go EOD off the streets?

  • no you dont your need to the army. i passed the school and are still in email me if you have any more questions.

  • EOD is pretty cool as shit, but, u got to get through the school first...it is no joke

  • if you select EOD but then fail later at AIT do you get to pick which MOS you are reassigned to?

  • The AIT is tough as hell, high drop out rate. The video is good reference. When you are in the field, it's not nearly as relax as they are in the video. You NEED the brains and confidence. Make sure you know your shit, because choices you make when you become team lead ARE life or death. When you are a grunt, don't second guess your team lead. I like TheKILLAHUNT advice. Go to another MOS first and cross-train later.

  • to guys that are currently in EOD. how do you like it? im sure its not like the video and what the recruiters tell ya, but i took my test and qaulify for the job and have the 7 day reserve on it right now to decide if i want it. is the training super hard? i know it sure as hell aint easy dealing with explosives, but is it a good job to take? i wanted 31B (MP) but its all filled, this sounded interesting though. looking for any advice i can get.

  • what do you have to get on your ASVAB for this MOS?

  • @HardKnockLife2 i just took my ASVAB yesterday and i got a 70 and i qaulify for this job. i just locked it in and have to go to MEPS next week.

  • for your information army71988 your wrong and you probably know nothing because there are plenty of fuzzies that are in EOD training and the reason why most people graduate EOD school is because its longer than a year and everyone who graduates has met the requirement of a year of service giving them E-3... and for whoever is going to go into navschool EOD good luck its not that easy.. many people fail out

  • I DEP'd in for EOD a month ago, it was the second to last spot, people are joining for whatever they can get. I want EOD because of the Civilian opportunities it can provide whenever i get out. my ship date is 20101102. HOOAH

  • HOOAH!

  • If this video makes you want to join EOD, don't join. This is nothing like the real thing.

  • I will be going to MEPS next weekend and signing my papers to join the US Army for 89D. EOD all the way baby!!!! HOOAH!

  • @REDLINE25 U have to be a PFC or higher to go 89D E.O.D

  • @army71988 IDK Where you heard that from? My recruiters gonna have me signed for it within 2 weeks. I go to basic, go to AIT A school at Redstone in Alabama and then AIT C school at Eglin AFB Florida. I don't think my recruiter would be signing me for it if I wasn't going to be able to get in until I rank up.

  • @REDLINE25 go to goarmy.com and look it up bro i have 2 friends that are EOD. they (recruiter) don't tell U the little shit man and if it's not in write then it's not going to happen. good luck to U.

  • @army71988 yea i've been to goarmy.com almost every day since I decided to join the Army. It says to go in as any other private to 9 weeks and 3 days of basic training, then 10 weeks in Alabama, then 28 weeks in Florida. I mean if my recruiter is telling me that, and its on the website, i don't think they're both wrong. Maybe your friends were confused because most EOD candidates are already promoted to E-3 by the time they graduate AIT.

  • @REDLINE25 just get it in writing man that's all i can say. most ppl when they git out of basic are PFCs.

  • @army71988 Oh i'm definitley going to have it in writing. I'm having the job reserved before I go to meps (even tho I wouldn't need to, he said people aren't exactly signing up at the door for EOD), and thats in writing, and am also going to make sure its in writing on my contract.

  • lol nice vid but in reality after the bomb is detonated, you might get ambushed..take sniper fire..take an rpg up ur ass.. u kno stuff like that

  • @BRANDON85L does that happen frequently?

  • @sparklerbombg nah, not really

  • This video is haunting me... and will forever...

  • cant wait to join except i have to do four years in college first DAMN! i want to join now!

  • freakin sgt dean. we call his son mini dean

  • dude. im EOD all the way!!! i cant wait to join this shit

  • that is one sexyyyy eod unit hahaha

  • Sergeant Dean is my EOD instructor.

  • really wanna do this, just have to search my state for a unit

  • Best part..... Talon driving away as we blow up the "IED".......

  • Im joing this for the national guard

  • what state?

  • @azst52 not to many I.E.D s runnin around the streets of arkansas. dont know bout anyothers... join the Army or any other branch if you want to do EoD

  • @azst52 dont think eod is really an option for national guard.... but maybe that has changed

  • @queenofhell2009able i dont know about other states but in PA the national guard is basically active duty, the 28th ID is pretty decorated and has been in every conflict since WWII. hooah bloody buckets!

  • I had SSG Mitchell when I went through school, really good instructor.. he was in IEDs when I went through, dont know where he his now..

  • I'm at redstone right now sgt DEAN needs to help me spc ortega pass recon PLEASE!!!

  • @tegamonster so how did u end up doing?

  • Ha, when I went through Redstone we had DS's to deal with.... Just be glad you actually have NCO's that know what it takes to be EOD and not 89B's and such telling you what to do.

  • Heheh. I am at Eglin now and SSG Mitchell is my class proctor. Its a small world. :-P

  • i cant wait to be EOD

  • Lol SGT Dean is my squad leader at Redstone. Went to the range with him yesterday

  • Heheh. I am also training to be EOD. Sgt. Dean is pretty cool. Was totally surprised to see him in the vid. :-P

  • I'm at EOD school and Sgt Dean is one of the sergeants helpin us out.
