it was probably too diffiuclt to come up with a good idea for alien invasion plot, but a single story like theone they did was much simpler and straight forward.

@Edbrad The thing is, Chris Carter already announced that he had plans to propose a movie about the alien invasion of 2012- he would have done so if the 2nd movie hadn't been such a flop. I think they definitely had some ideas in the pipewoks. I just hate all the loose ends that we were left with towards the end.

Aww man really? So they are saying it not going to happen because of the second film?? They were so stupid, it was just like a decent stand alone episode. How much money did they expect to make! Its not like it was blockbuster material! They had some cool shots and seqences but even the TJ show with its modest budget managed to make stuff that looked more expensive to me :-/ ahh well maybe it will happen at some point
