  • Fantastic dog, wonderful relationship with the family, highly obedient and obviously loved. What a sweet video.

  • German shepherds are very good with kids, anyone who's had any type of lengthy time with them know so.

  • awww my boyfriend's gsd's name is baron too!! except he's a horrible, mean dog :( baaaad training, but he's warming up to me (finally!) proves that dog's mannerisms come from lack of training, not "just the way they are".

all in all, you have a beautiful puppy there and he's AMAZING with children!! :)

  • Sweet! :-)

  • Lol

  • haha hes like who the hell do i listen too???

  • Baron = great name for a GSD!!

  • My German Shepherd Maximus is two months.

  • That dog does not looked trained at all. If you keep saying 'sit' the dog will automatically sit bcuz it's neck is strained from looking up. If u say down & YOU go towards the floor the dog will follow looking for a treat. u stand up & say up the dog is going to follow u right up to be close to you! Does not make it trained. My german shepherd already does that. If it was trained it would have responded while u were giving instructions. 'Tell him to sit' he would have plopped down immediately

  • @desolate2 at the same time though, dogs don't understand complete sentences. if you take a dog which is awesomely trained and reacts instantly, and instead if saying "sit", you said "would you please sit down", that dog isn't going to do much. also, considering how distracted from *camerawoman* the dog is, it's never going to be all that responsive to her

  • @desolate2 Ok, now with your incredible power of wisdom can you tell me please where the hell says that the is trained....... o you couldn't? may be that's because it doesnt says that is a trained dog!

  • @TECACHI lol What's that? I think I hear whining. Shut up with that lame tantrum.

  • I think this amazing how the little girl is showing such leadership.

    Tip reward the dog sooner.

As well as try not to repeat commands.

The dog was showing symptoms of stress.

    Over all well done.

  • DOGS LIKE JUST GIMME THE DAM BALL

  • What a beautiful and intelligent child also the dog

  • your daughter is confusing the dog she should give the dog the reward more frequeuntly instead of teasing it accidently ..

  • love german shepherds

  • I <3 dogs!

  • es el mejor perro del mundo!!!!!!

bueno, en realidad los amo a todos!!!!!!!!!!

  • That german shepherd's going, "This human's paws are way too small for this."

  • she is such a good teacher ;)

  • Everyone here appears to praise the dog for his behaviour. Let's not forget that this 3 year old is showing very good leadership qualities and calmness at the same time towards this dog. Outstanding! ...I've seen teens and grownup's with far less skills around dogs (especially german shepherds).

  • smart dog

  • Excellent! The dog gets to share with the family and understands the commands of all of them, including the littlest members. Good job!

  • like a lot of German shepherds it's all about the tennis ball

  • that's sooo cool!!!

  • WTF THIS IS AWESOME I KNOW THAT DOG.

  • Awesome video guys... Loved it. It takes a lot of effort and dedication to train a GSD.

You must ALWAYS show the dog who is in charge in the house... Good Job

  • how did you train him im having trouble with my german shepherd and i need advice

  • I love how your dog keeps looking at you :) so cute

  • haha nice is he a saddle back or a blanket back lol he looks like a blanket back GSD but my dad has one and looked like a blanket back but is growing into a saddle back @jumpers4life652

  • @TheGermansheperdguy What is the difference between a blanket back and a saddle back?

  • @kathrynmarks well a saddle back has no black on its back legs mean while a blanket back does.

  • So hes a male and his not aggresive and dominant?

  • @nataliawasilewska97 he is not agressive at alllll towards family members...if a stranger were to break in the house he would be agressive (but if that stranger had a slab of meat he might let him in hahaha). Hes a softie!! He is such a good dog! But very intimidating to look at (people cross the street when they see him lol) :)

  • @nataliawasilewska97 - I grew up around male non-neutered german shepherds. NONE of them have ever been aggressive/dominant, anything. just big fluffy balls of love. They need to be trained, but as a breed, they're very friendly and trainable.

  • Thats his ball

  • German shepherds are great ours is named Baron too!!

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • what a good dog. i love how he will work for teh ball instead of 40 lbs of treats. lol.

  • haha "owwwwwww"

  • I love your dog thumbs up

  • Thumbs up!!!

  • wow hes a big beautiful puppy and hes not even a year yet goodness lol and your daughter is so adorible

  • I think your dog the best!!!!! He is a good boy. I like went he give a high 5. lol he cool

  • so sweet!!

  • wow that is really cool.

  • Baron is gorgeous!

  • So cute. :) Who is teaching who in this video?

  • best dogs

  • The hell with these damn commands! Just gimme da ball!! LOL.

  • Wow! Our German Shepherd puppy Sam is 5 months old and looks like he could be Baron's twin brother! They have almost the exact same coloration... Sam is 50 lbs right now. Amazing! Check out my videos to see what he looks like if you're interested. I have to put a new one up, the last one was when he was 3 months old... so cute!

  • Your daughter is amazing with Baron. I love how she rewarded him with the ball after he did as instructed. He will never let her down.

I grew up with a BARON (a long time ago); he was the best dog in the world -- a GSD from Spangdahlem Germany.

Now I have four males: Aries, Apollo, Zeus and Hades -- strong Greek God names, but actually 2 are from Germany; 2 are from Czech Republic. Wonderful breed.

  • Im looking for a breeder in southern illinois. Can anybody help?

  • shes pretty respectful with him. however I dont think kids under 10 should be around puppies but thats just me.

  • What happens if you don't socialize a dog with younger kids is the dog doesn't react well to being around them or being approached or touched by them.

  • @TRBNGR666 really? how will the dog be properly socialized? What happens when you have a visitor with a small child?

  • @a69a59b ur mom should've had an abortion.

  • gimmee the fffnn ball already!

  • What a good puppy.....I love German Shepherds!

  • aww my german sheperd does the same thing when she shakes her hand although she could be one of my stupidist dog ive had one time she got out of or house becuz we went to put the lesh on her for a walk she got out ran down two blocks before we caught her when we did we were taking her to the vet becuz she got hit by a car but we still love here and shes okay now

  • Haha! She needs to remember to say "Good boy." You've got explain to her that when the dog does something you say/ask, you reward the animal. :)

GREAT dog by the way.. omg.. It's enough to make me want a German Shepherd. lol

  • No, you don't HAVE to reward the animal. A dog is after a leader, and a leader rewards the dog by letting him work - because that's what dogs love. Doing what their told. K9 dogs for example, they love their work, they don't have to be rewarded because their reward is doing what they're doing.

  • @ChillpointNews

    Talk about work ethics!

  • That's right. She commands the dog. Well done! Train them young. Good video.

  • aww how cool. cant wait till i get my german shepard.

  • nice

  • Haha, freakin' awesome!

  • grace is so cute. i <3 her. barron isnt half as skilled as scottie though. he can eat a treat in less than like 5 seconds. haha
