  • Christ, this brings back memories of moshing out there, everyone getting thrown around and the odd fight starting due to some idiots not understanding what moshing is all about....

Ahhhh, those were the days :)

  • In the top 3 best indie songs the UK has ever produced, if not the top 1. Albarn, Gallagher, Morrisey look on this and despair.

  • Fuckin Awesome..........................

  • So good I had to play it twice

  • Seeing these in Leeds in a few week Yeeaaa , too much apple pie

  • Gedge was god

  • @dazmin100 Gedge still IS god

  • This tune just absolutely took my top off. Fucking brilliant, that maelstrom of guitar at the end.

  • In my old band we used to play a few of our songs "Banjo style" like The Weddoes!!! That fast guitar style.

  • I'm not a man for the jingly jangly but this is "still" amazing.

  • yeah, i'm buzzin man

  • outstanding drumming, love ti, love it, love it !!!!!!!!

  • a truly towering performance.

  • I thought I saw it on whistle test about 1987 and it blew my tits off, maybe it was 89 but i was sure it was 87...

  • Fierce, loved it since day one! I was just appreciating the bass tone there, it's perfect.

  • i loved the wedding present ,ukrainians etc , gedge was a right ignorant fucker when i met him

  • I'd like to meet the cretins who took the video for this song off YouTube and ask them exactly how they think they're benefiting Dave Gedge and the Weddin Present by their actions.

  • This has been my favourite record since i first heard it on Radio One. They can bloody well bury me to this too. It makes me happy like nothing else can, and opened my eyes to a wider world of music. Oh and Live, it's almost as good as sex bouncing along to this.

  • it's like being in the pier on wednesday!

  • Gotta admit during the late 80s I was listen to a lot of acid house and techno but I was open to other stuff and I remember hearing this on peel - absolutely blew me away. The layer upon layer of guitar in the outro is amazing - always gets my blood racing.

  • No dislikes. Normality has ensued.

  • "harry's walked away with williams wife"

  • @warlockboyburns Johnny. as in John F Kennedy

  • Pretty much this is indeed the definition of "underrated". Absolutely top stuff!

  • Absolute belter of a tune. Proper indie

  • fuckin classic good band shouldve maDE THE BIG TIME

  • Ahead of their time. Shift the chronology five years forward and they would have been global superstars. Thank christ that never happened. Still thin that "Go out and get 'em boy" was their absolute peak.

  • I used to call this the "apple pie song" for the lulz!!

  • fookin mahoosive.

  • I heard a cover of this song about 6 years ago by a band called Picnic. If anyone out there has a copy they could put on youtube I would be very very grateful.

  • 2mora night in Leeds O2 - Come on!!!

  • fuck yes.

  • oh yea!! One of the greatest tunes of all fucking time!! Brilliant!

  • Can you imagine something this awesome charting at number 33 these days?

  • Have you lost your love of life?.. Too much apple pie!!

  • what a classic..timeless...if you like this check out...velvet undergrounds..what go,s on....

  • abiding love for this since Peel first played it. "Relentlessness" is a good description, V V.

  • The relentlessness is fantastic.

  • Bought this album when it came out. Such promise for the new decade. Music exploded then. This song explodes!

  • carnt believe ive been searching for years for this song, its brill

  • still one of the best songs ever written!!!

  • Superb.

  • wow weeee just lisen fantastic

  • fantastic song. the guitars are amazing.

    great album as well.

best weddoes line up around this time as well in my opinion. gedge , solowka ( spelling? ) smith and gregory.

  • @abdou282 agreed is it true they're reforming to do some festivals this year. I just love this.

  • they're playing a load of gigs this year , an announcement on uk gigs is due anytime now. they're playing ' bizzaro ' from start to finish at the gigs.

  • the guitarist is now my science teacher :P

  • can you tell him i still love him and need to listen to him at least once a week <3

  • This is my saul on the road to damascus tune. I heard this and everything changed, my favourite song ever. So i guess thanks Mr Gedge for opening my eyes to a wider world of music.

  • Manchester Indie clubs - late 80's dancing to this - couldn't be beat !!! LOVE IT

  • drdatabox, yep i listened to bizarro and seamonsters non stop for about a year..only got them in 2004. praise the mp3. (my collection is full now i think, even involving a purchase or two..sacrilege).nothing compares to hearing this song live though (maybe bit obvious)

  • What's this, a song by Gedge NOT about a girl. Great tune !

  • too much apple pie

  • There actually is a video out there for this track. I guess Son* B*G don't want it available, because god forbid any potential promotion of product should occur.

  • just going out to see them right now! can't bloody wait!

  • This tune should be up there with the best aaaaarrrrrggggh tunes of all time. It is soooo underrrated I love it sooo much

  • goin to see them at the welly in hull june 17 cant wait

  • @kerandi37 i agree!!! :D

  • @kerandi37 Everything the Wedding Present did is underrated. Makes you spit.

  • For sheer intensity, second only to The Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray." I lay on stage with a video camera when they played at CBGB'S, and let it wash over me. David Gedge was so warm and cooperative, and among the many such musicians he is right at the top. I listened to this song every day for about 5 years, and I will never tire of it.
