  • this has that real good feeling of jumping in the the whack out (in a good way) world of the final fantasy series and u feeling like you can do practictly anything you set you mind to. ya i like it.

  • really wish that this song was actually in XIII. the track called Prelude on the OST is good, but its not THE Prelude :\

  • This world will Seethe to exist 1 day

    in are own world :3

  • I like how the logo for FF XIII fits the ending of the story in which Fang and Vanille sacrificed themselves to connect Cocoon and the Gran Pulse.

  • @karedomable dont try to spoil it for others :P

  • @karedomable Spoilers like that ruin games for people, dude

  • How the heck is the story-line confusing? I'm 14 and I understood nearly 98% percent of it. Maybe you haters were too busy critiquing the game to get the big picture.

The characters not well- developed? What? They're some of the most well- developed characters I've seen in the past few years. I also felt like I could relate to most of them. They felt much more real then some other video games I've played.

  • @FinalHeart6 >Is 14, barely mature enough to grasp complex adult emotion

    >"WTF THEY'RE SO DEVELOPED YOU GUYS ARE DUMB"

    Ok kid ;)

  • first ff i ever played and i like it, i think i should try those older ff!

  • people say they didn't understand the story line...?? Man you must be a dumbass

  • whats this called is this the real name?

  • They should have had this theme in the game. A mainstream ff has no excuse...

  • Wait... Fan-made? º___º

  • love the game but this is version of the prelude is horrible

  • the nxt FF should be an open ended sandbox-type world such as Bethesda's Fallout or Oblivion. take a break from the main quest, go hunt, take a job somewhere.

  • worst prelude ever made

  • i don´t remind that from what part of the game is.

  • The battle system of FFXIII was terrible. Push (X or A) to attack, set up a healer, never lose.

  • @Sszcechra actually i think the battle system is more fun and challenging that way making this game unique.

  • @JiaLunis To be honest the only thing I did throughout the game was constantly hitting the x button, where the only time i used another button was when the leaders health was critical, and only then nothing was used. Square sees the players as unable to use strategy and too stupid to manually control all 3 characters, hence why only one character is controlled and even then has an auto command, requiring little to no thinking at all

  • @jumshid Try going OUTSIDE the story (like cieth stones) and we'll see if you keep pressing X all the way.

And I'd like to see you assign 15 moves in less than 3 seconds (incase you control all 3 players). you would've auto battled on all of them anyway. Atleast this way you auto battle 2 of them and have a chance to think on the 3rd's moves

  • @Ecyn2 I will state again the main story line was rats ass and I had to finish the game 3 times to get a full understanding of the plot and the background, whereas XII and others such as X and IX gave a perfect understanding of the plot in one play-through and I wasn't confused with words like L'cie Fal'cie and all that other bs. I completed all the quests, and since my characters were overpowered they were a breeze, as well as the quests being too repetitive and dull.

  • @Ecyn2 A for controlling the characters, once again Square completely ignored the veteran players and went towards a battle system fit for new players and the younger gen. Having to control one character ruined strategy, and I hate it when the other 2 characters perform moves I don't want them to, further ruining the experience. In XII all three characters could be controlled, party leader easily changeable and you can switch between 4 standby players in the menu as well, adding strategy.

  • FF 13 had piss poor soryline

  • Jeiqnsvrukdnwisj I need to find the score for this D:

  • FFXIII is awesome! One of my favs.

  • Made me shed a tear at how incredibly beautiful this sounds...

    Well done. Well done~<3

    ^ . ^

  • Y didn't Square put this traditional Prelude theme into XIII... even XIV has it, I just don't understand

  • @ELsword08 Well XIV takes a LOT of soundtrack from XII So that might've been the theme from XII

  • @ELsword08 Because Uematsu wasn't its composer. Uematsu composed XIV. Not XIII. Masashi Hamauzu composed XIII.

  • its great im sure nobou himself would agree and tho it was a good game the lack of this song was disapointing.....

  • i hum this song all the time i annoy my boss at work and some of the custmers but i could hear this song every day when i get up i love it very much

  • beautiful.

  • ....wow this is pure skill

  • I never understood all the hate FF13 received. All of them were fairly linear, and 10 had a similar dungeon set-up. 13 did have towns and people you could talk to -- they just spoke without you having to press a button. The characters are definitely some of my favorite in the series. Also, the battle system provided much-needed innovation. The only major disappoint was the open-world portion of the game and what followed, because the story slowed down.

  • @ScrewedUpClickFan It looks like a good game. I've never played it but I am a FF fan. I can tell you that the game does look rather gaudy, but I don't let that get to me.

  • @ScrewedUpClickFan Veteran fans all hate 13, only the new gen likes it. The towns were missing integral features such as shops (weapons, armor, accessories, magic etc), inns (a must), a large cast of npcs, out of the characters only saaz and snow stood out, the others were not and did not develop and fang is just a typical female character with issues, battle system was horse shit, only requiring you to press x or a for 100 hours, travel system was bad as well. Only good thing was the graphics

  • @ScrewedUpClickFan id have to respectfully tell you that the open world portion and the story line was one of the biggest reasons in my opinion why everyone disliked it, i loved 12, the battle system, the story, the characters everything, and yes i have played a big portion of the series so ik the battle system is somewhat simular.

  • @ScrewedUpClickFan This game gets a lot of hate for obvious reasons. The plot in overly convoluted. Most of the characters suck. The batle-system was idiotic. Aspects that were left out in the game weren't filled in or even attempted to be made up for. The character developement was boring/really moronic. Lastly, and most importantly, the main-character is simply laughable. lol Those are the many, but obvious reasons why this game gets hate and for good reasons. ;)

  • @TheEK50 hmm i agree with the reasoning to why it was hated still liked the game itself but wouldnt play through it more then twice

  • @Rezuvious Yea, I agree. After playing it once, it felt like that was already one too many. At least for me it was. All i'm saying is that SquareEnix could of done such a better job on this game. This game didn't do so well either, and i'm really pissed how they can make a FFXIII-2, but they can't make the games everybody really wants. Like Kingdom Hearts 3 or a re-mastered FFXII. They are losing more money because they want to milk everything out of already great games. tsk tsk tsk

  • @Rezuvious Same goes for the re-make of FFX. It already has great graphics and everything, so why are they re-making it? They are such assholes. It really isn't about the game making anymore or the plot. It's about the money for them now. It's so sad to where they use to be, comparing to now. :(

  • excellent combination of violin and piano

  • @507198

Not to be condescending, but that it a harp, not a piano.

  • @Tidusauron12 You are right, it's harp :D

  • 22 dislike didint read this is just fand made lol

  • i was disappointed with this final fantasy but the soundtrack was pretty good

  • Comment removed

  • it reminds me of the song on FFx-1 when yur downloading a update or in the menu...

    and gj anyways =p

  • Mixture of FFVII n your own taste (violin i guess), not bad

  • Fan made... Yet it's still melodious somehow with the original FF prelude theme blended with the violin notes, giving moving emotions.

  • "He who binds to himself a joy

    Does the winged life destroy

He who kisses the joy as it flies

    Lives in eternity's sunrise"

    - William Blake

  • this song remind me of kingdom hearts :) awesome

  • This was really good well done then.

  • Didnt u realise this is almost EXACTLY THE SAME to 1 of the ff12 songs?

  • @roselman1 thats the point. this theme plays in almost all the games.

  • @guitarheroziplock But isnt it ment to be a fan made remix? Not the same thing!

  • @roselman1

what is your point? you do know EVERY final fantasy has a prelude semiliar,

  • @teC5 Yes, but I was saying the theme isn't ment to be the same as the ones on the sountracks becouse it said 'fan made', asuming it ment a remix.

  • I like it. It pays homage in a way.

  • the thing is NOBODY READS THE DESCRIPTION BOX. that's why ppl get pissed off lol

  • seriously??? FF XIII DOESN'T have prelude/crystal theme?? ...oh man that sucks....

  • @surororo ff 13 is one of the most BAD ff games..

  • @itachiitachi1946 mmmm I see...FF VIII and FF X FTW!!

  • @surororo yes my favorite ff games r 3)ff 8 2)ff x(auron hehe) and my favorite is...1)ff 7

  • lol i forgot to mention ff ix

  • LEARN HOW TO READ: **THIS THEME IS FAN-MADE**

  • Its a shame this final fantasy doesn't have the prelude theres hardly anything except the title and chocobos that says this is a final fantasy!

  • 19 people were fucked in the head

  • I have this game but i don't remember ever hearing this song...lol

  • @foevanimeboi And I quote from that sacred description that NO ONE EVER READS.

    "*This theme is fan made*"

    Have a good day.

  • ow vai se fude so fika ai nessa imagem

  • Also, just FYI, the first 4 FF games had the MAIN THEME (not this song) in them, and Nobuo Uematsu had written that song to represent the FF series as it's main theme. If you've noticed at all that not all FF games since... V or VI has had that theme in them. I'm not complaining, because I don't let a petty little thing such as one song ruin a game for me. It's Final Fantasy XIII, not a remake of one of the classics. Get used to things changing. Each FF is different from the last, even the music

  • @ThunderStorm8 For a game to be part of a series is to have signature elements established by the original game present in it. Dragon Quest series without its overture, opening menu, victory fanfare soundtracks, and "defining thing that connects them together" will look odd but that does not mean it will ruin the game, it will be just another spinoffs and I believe that FF 13 should be treated the same way. Each FF has a different main theme, but I know exactly which one you are talking out.

  • It just wasn't the same with this....

  • Thumbs up if you think FFXIII sucks without the trademark Final Fantasy music pieces.

  • Yea, definitely the first Final Fantasy. FFVII is so overrated.

  • This should be in the game.

  • Kingdom Hearts has Dearly Beloved, and Final Fantasy should ALWAYS have Prelude to the Crystal.

  • WELL FINAL FANTASY 13TH WAS THE ONLY TITLE WITHOUT PRELUDE DUE TO NOBOU UETMATSU'S ABSENT TO THE SERIES MUSICAL SCORE. ALSO THE VICTORY FAN FARE IS ABSENT FROM THIS TITLE.

  • this is in ALL the old games, even FF8 (the game over music)

  • I tend to like the games a little less if they don't have the prelude. In a way it connects them all together.

  • @gigagilgamesh9 Same i was disapointed when i didnt here this at the begining

  • I think FFXIII has the best Soundtracks ever. No other game could reach this.

    Very impressed with that.

  • Oh, God, I love this song!

But I think that FFXIII's prelude is awesome too!

I think most people aren't happy because of the nostalgia effect this song has in them.

  • A Final Fantasy game without a crystal theme should not belong among the numbered Final Fantasy games!

  • Comment removed

  • @ThunderStorm8 Wait, I think you have the wrong idea about they crystal theme here. The crystal theme that I am referring to is this melody, simply just this melody. And I think a Final Fantasy without this crystal theme should not belong among the numbered series. I respect you artistic opinion however but i have to disagree with the "defining thing that connects them together." It is not summons, but love, friendship, and cooperation.

  • @aauru

I was referring to how story elements are what connects the Final Fantasy games together. Such as the specific creatures, some character names, and so on. Also, just like how every title is a different world with a different story with different characters means there are other differences. That doesn't neccessarily mean that they all have to always have the same single song. I do understand where you're coming from, however, and it would've been cool to have this song in FF13...

  • @aaura

If not this theme, then at least have the original Final Fantasy series Main Theme. (Some people tend to get the Crystal "Prelude" theme mixed with the actual Main Theme of the series). :)

  • @aauru Well not to argue or anything, but from what I know of Masashi Hamauzu, he just doesn't do that. He doesn't take someone elses theme and just puts some new instruments in it. He does his own thing. When he arranges someone else's work, he makes it his own. I'm sure that when he was told to compose a prelude for the game, he didn't even think of using Nobuo Uematsu's piece as that really wouldn't have allowed for creative freedom.

  • @aauru Does that include the same titled games but have Agito and Versus in them?

  • @aauru And I really missed the victory fanfare...

Oh yeah and I missed a story... and good music... and well... everything.

  • @aauru especially fince ff13 is part of the novula crystalis series lol

  • @aauru A Human without brain should not belong among the human race, stfu this has been one of my favorites, and i have beat them all.

  • @chony93 agreed!!

  • @chony93

FFXIII= HALLWAYS AND CUTSCENES.. OH SHIT A BATTLE

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • @chony93 this

  • @aauru

and its so sad because XIII contains "Crystals"..-.-

  • @aauru Umm, hate to be the one to say you're wrong, but your wrong. This is the crystal theme, listen closely.

  • @TheMasterNull Sorry, hate it too, to say your wrong but you dont understand what he wrote. He knows that this is the cystal theme but he says "A FF Game WITHOUT this theme is not a real Final fantasy. ^^

  • @The11Gamestar Not to mention that no one ever reads the goddamn description before posting.

I swear, it's like no one cares that they'll look like an ass.

  • It seriously pisses me off that the prelude isn't in XIII. Castlevania has had different composers throughout, and it still retains classic themes like Vampire Killer.

  • I love this it brings memories and it just beautiful

  • yea, the violin fits lightings theme and i agree that itd be a good prelude for 13. idk why they didnt put the prelude in this one tho

  • Love it :D

  • THIS SONG IS WHAT DEFINES FINAL FANTASY FROM ALL OTHER RPG'S

  • its a good start. the violin bit sounds like its a keyboard sound. if it is, might want to work on the timing when the notes change, some are subtle to almost blunt in happening and threw my ears off. but not bad, not good. its a good start.

  • i refuse to beleive that they removed the REAL prelude from this game. Remeber 8? the prelude was hiding in the gameover screen. As a music lover of Final Fantasy, I will listen through the entire OST of this game till i find it!

  • @DarkonFullPower

I think it is hidden in the soundtrack, but I forget which song and I think it's very brief.

  • @Komikmaker Even if it only does it ONCE I will be happy. I NEED to know when!

  • @DarkonFullPower It is a composer thing. maybe hamauzu wanted to let clear that uematsu was not the composer in this FF , especially with a piece as important as the first thing you hear when you start the game

  • @CODENAMEVIDEOS Uematsu did all the others till now? Really?

  • this is just FFXII slowed down

  • @0XScourgeX0 It's not just FFXII, it's the Prelude for the entire series, ever since the beginning. FFXII just has one of the most popular and best ones. :D

I'd be happy with this in FFXIII. Despite FFXIII being awesome and all, my sole complaint is the lack of a lot of the series music staples. Boy, am I glad the chocobo music was good though.

  • @0XScourgeX0 no, XII's had slightly different instruments, like there was vocalizing instead of violin

  • @maddenmaster365 - I said 'Basically' i'm talking about lyric wise.

  • That's just transcendent ...as always

  • the soccer ball botton also ruins it :( those goddamn things

  • the song fits very well with the rest of the soundtrack. very well done i love it.

  • Epic. Kudos.

  • It's a good version of the prelude, but I've got to say that the original prelude (especially FFVII) was the best one of them all. That doesn't mean I don't like FFXIII. I think it's a fucking awesome game. They all are.

  • I would've definately prefered SQUARE ENIX to use this prelude than the one they used now.

  • this is beautiful, something says happy and yet...sad and mysterious. <3 very impressive.

  • this is amazing you should try and get a job working with square enix cause this is just so beautiful

  • The violin is a pretty nice touch. Even though it's fanmade, it's very beautiful. :)

  • enchantingly beautiful...both themes made for this particular final fantasy are awesome

  • Sadly the Prelude theme was not used.. That's Nobuo's style.. Hamauzu took a very different approach.. I felt if they both worked on this soundtrack it would have been a lot better.

  • this is real? im not lisen´t the prelude of final fantasy 13

  • this isnt the original prelude. I prefer this fan made instead of the original. FFXII OST isnt so good

  • Can this be the worst prelude version lol ? The best is in the first one and FFX

  • @Realnec yes, you are inteligent

  • @Realnec FFX is a bit... diffwerent for my tastes. Sure its the FF that got me INTO FF but after listening ot the other, it isnt my favorite.

  • This is what I wanted :< The Original Prelude on XIII ;~;

  • Almost sounds like FF XII

  • Incredible. The solo string is a very, very nice touch.

  • umm i think i asked befor on other videos from you but i am in the prosses of maling my origanal anime and are in need of music. i was wondering if i could use this song for it?

  • i ment to say making

  • You guys. This is Fan made

lol that's why you didn't hear this in FFXIII

But awesome job :) very believable that Someone like Nobuo would make this.

  • How come I didn't here this song in the game? It was some other music in the title screen....

    oh no...don't tell me...

this song is only in the japanese version?

  • I'm glad they used atleast this "crystal" motif in XIII (I think the Chocobo theme carried elements from the original also), but does anyone else find that viola annoying? lol

  • i wish they had this song in the game ;;

  • This sure does bring back the memories...

  • I can't read roman numbers so can somebody please tell me what final fantasy it is when 3 people invade an island (3 people as In I think one of their names was Schiefer.... My memory is blurry) A girl, a dude with a sword (Squal) and a dude who apparently punches alot of stuff. It has a note when you die.

  • @Imthaman69 that would be Final Fantasy VIII (8)

  • @Imthaman69 I believe you are talking about FF8. and c'mon man roman numbers are easy. (for the most part) its just math, I = 1,V = 5,X = 10 now you just add and subtract. II = 1 + 1 = 2, III = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. VII = 5 + 1 + 1 = 7.

Where it gets a bit tricky is when to subtract. They did not like seeing repeats of more than four for the most part so , IIII would not be written, instead it would be IV = 5 - 1 = 4. or if you had VIIII (5 + 4 = 9) you would instead write IX = 10 - 1

  • @blakbro2k Your theory of remembering Romannumerals is confusing. By the way, my answer has already been answered. I was looking for the Final Fantasy 8 demo music

  • lol as you guys can see he stated this is fanmade XD! The real one is nicer =D.. And this is FF7.. FF12 is more orchestral.

  • it's final fantasy so it don't matter people

  • This was your remake from FFX, right?

  • isnt this the opening to 12? or am i mixed up

  • @jooshuoa91 I never played 12. So It could be, but it's more likely a remake of 10. :3

  • ok, i think the harp that plays high-low-high-low etc is used on 12m iv not been on it 4 ages tbh. on 13 atm getting completely raped by barth--thingymabob, whatever hes called lol impossible to kill :S

  • Jeez I always get tricked on the fanmade stuff. It's good, but next time please put in the title "Fanmade"

  • says fanmade in the summary. quit being lazy and turn your head slightly to the right and read.

  • @ZayLong

Can't really see until you clicked into the video. The title doesn't even say its fanmade

  • @GoGoNeji it says it right there next to the video you dont even have to click the lil "more" button "Fanmade"

thats what the summary is there for information about the vid. the Title is for the Title of the vid.

  • @ZayLong But some youtubers may look at this and think "Oh! It's the real thing!" and when they clicked in it, they only notice that it's a fake. But this video is a nice work anyhow, not insulting this piece.

  • Final Fantasy is about change, which is why no one likes every FF and there's always split decisions.

Although during the ending credits of FF13, I was hoping to hear Uematsu's famed FF theme.

  • oolldd schoooll!! love it =D

  • i love all prelude songs :3

  • Wah!? no prelude...no fanfare..no towns...they shouldn't even call this Final Fantasy

  • the prelude and fanfare are different and there are towns, this game has every right to be called final fantasy, go play the game rather than say things bad about it

  • Even though they scrapped the fanfare..the exploring...and the battle system I happy that they kept the main theme. Goodjob, I'll cry though if they remove this in FF14 =(

  • reminds me of ff7

  • @KurtRip94 why VII, what about the other 12?

  • i really like this, it sounds really nice

  • @dragonkira209 I liked the FF4 remake on ds. The preludes amazing. I like Oath for FF13

  • @Denver1928

i dont know if you're a final fantasy X fan but you have to understand much of that world was very corridor like as well. the only thing that makes it different in this one is that there are no towns and there are no more random encounters so you cant just stay in one area and grind constantly

  • Was debating wether or not to get the Ltd Ed now I know. Off shopping. See you in a couple of hours.

  • This track is used in all FF games remember this from FF7

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist From FF7? It was in the ORIGINAL FF on the NES. This theme is super old school.

  • @DemonmachinE well this theme begins in final fantasy IV and this original arpegio is from final fantasy II and not final fantasy - in final fantasy I the arpegio one note downer

  • @DemonmachinE The OLDEST school out of the final fantasys :)
