Thank you baby for 1 of my precious jewels! Oh Eddie you are my favorite TEMPTATION! That falsetto voice would drive a Woman madly in love! It just happens to be rainy where I'm at now! Sing Eddie K. I bet your in heaven truckin' right now! My Lord. I grabbed my coat & my shoes & walked out w/ a bag full of blues!
REST EDDIE K.
If you don't like this then this here isn't for you!
Listen to anything else from late 60s / early 70s soul then listen to this, and see. EDDIE IS GOD. And everything else about this record is wonderful (drumming, production, other instrumentalists, everything).
great music...

this is house as we love it, uplifting, emotional, yet not trashy campy shitty, but classical.

Note to barriobajaj:
This did not chart because..
#1) it was released a good 6 years after its initial album release, and..
#2) It was the flipside to the 1978 single "Intimate Friends" (From Eddie's Motown finale LP "Slick").
Obviously, The Hitsville Empire promoted said A-side over "Rain". THIS gem, however, is THE-hit-that-shoulda-been-but-wasn't..
Not even a scrap og FM or AM airplay back in 1972 (From the "People..Hold On!" LP)
Oh, yes and a RAVE-FAVE!
Thanx fer this, m8

Interesting. I've looked up charting singles released in the U.S. and it never charted.
barriobajaj 3 years ago
Oh, FYI if anyone has this single with the song Can I, it's a reissue put up by collectibles.
barriobajaj 3 years ago
I've never seen a 45 of this song. Is it an oldies reissue? It might have been a big hit had it been released as a single.
A timeless classic!
barriobajaj 3 years ago
I'm not sure either, i think it's only avaible on Collectibles as a 7", but this doesn't look like that label??
funkynotstinky01 3 years ago
Thanks for the heads up.
I just found a copy that was released in '77 as a b-side to Born Again. Wasn't easy to find.
