When a person sees a spelling or grammatical mistake in what you've said, and wants to use that as part of his riposte, he will use [sic] within brackets. It means "to be read as written"---which is a smartass way to point out a person's mistake while building another smartass argument. It's really condescending and nitpicky.
Prominent subtext here: This man's obesity is so distracting from the content. It's even occluded his throat so that it's painful to hear him speak. I loved Spaulding.
Fair enough. But what I said is the case. We all have to deal with this struggle. One more obese American was the straw that broke the camel's back for me when I wrote that comment.
yeah...actually, I was hoping to stick to a new resolution of mine: Not to get upset over comments that I read on the internet. I thought I was in a good place and then lashed out, almost unconsciously, over your comment. I think my anger was shooting out sideways over an earlier encounter where a woman, driving a Hummer, flipped me the bird twice.
Yeah, I yelled something about being redundant and then she said something like, "I gave you the finger didn't I?" That made me think that she might have thought I called her "reluctant" or that she thinks "redundant" means "reluctant".
he's awesome.
