love it! I just finished my physics graduate work at NMT (located in Socorro) so I'm quite familiar with the VLA. I'll share your video with my friends.
@umageddon - I think that feeling you're getting has more to do with the music. The abrupt, glitch sound juxtaposed with the flowing melody has a powerful effect. The editing was excellent in my opinion. If I was to criticize this at all, it would simply be that I wanted a bit more variety in footage, or more of a story, or both.
That said, for the author's stated purpose, this is certainly portfolio-worthy, and most excellent.
@styx0rz Thanks for the thoughtful feedback I appreciate it!
I would have loved to have varied the compositions up a little more, but I was working with a budget that basically consisted of gas money, snacks, and a cheap hotel room for a night.
I was also shooting without a permit, so I was limited to keeping my cameras in the areas designated for the public walking tour.
I'm not sure how to respond to the "trying too hard" comment, to be honest. Uh, I'll make it sloppier next time?
Videos like this inspire me to do more and more projects like yours! i wanna go to New Mexico now lol and just take pictures!

Amazing work; perfect combination of sci-fi design/interfaces (without going too over the top), perfect sound, and amazing photography!
