I liked playing with my friend doing quest and along time ago we had problem killing giant undead and it was so fun spending time in ghostlands.......
@andocomando2222 ...at least until the talentless hacks in the lore team bring him back from the dead with a stupid redemption plotline. Just let the last remnants of the formerly good lore rest in peace without being desecrated further, Blizzard...*sigh*
@Arathyrion Lol, yeah. I could see it happen tbh (not that I want to though), considering Blizzard's track record. If there is a disorder that classifies a story writer unable to let bosses die in a story, than the lore writing crew would had it.
So far what we had was;
Onyxiax3
Nefarianx2
Naxxramasx2
Kael'thasx2
Zul'Gurubx2
Dead Minesx2
Ragnarosx2
Not sure if I'm missing anything, but, yeah, the list is already long enough.
BC was my first WoW experience, and I remember my days leveling my mage in ghostlands, I log out on the main road, and when I log back in one Abomination was right next to me and kicks my ass lol
You'd think that the boss in Silvermoon would have sent at least some 70 guards to take care of the trolls and scourge.I mean,it's been three coming to four. You'd think it'd all be fixed by Cataclysm.Maybe it's just me but I think Blizzard should change the Ghostlands an the Dead Scar in Eversong woods an awesome questing area to where you must fight the scourge and snuff out the remaining plagued animals and trolls left. When you're all done it should like an extended evensong woods.Am I right?
I can't answer for who actually made this piece, but Uelmen was supposedly the main composer of the Burning Crusade expansion. So I'll give him credit for everything, makes it a tad bit easier.
Great music btw, I have my 'WowMusic' playlist with most of the pieces in it. Runs in loop on a daily basis. :)
Classic - the zones up to level 50 were awesome, but the later ones like plaguelands or silithus were aweful, with the exception of wonderful winterspring, great music in cities and starting zones.
TBC - great zones, great instances, great music but not on the level of classic
WotLK - zones are less special than classic or tbc, but great music, on par with classic
WotLK : Getting epic items was easier - but that made it boring.
Having full epiced chars made me think Whats the reason I play this game?
Only to gear up?
Getting easier in raids, heroics was definitely a +, though
BC was awesome, but was also kind of annoying that you were forced to use pvp gear even if you are a raider. Didn't matter for me though :p Pvp was fun.
Classic was very different, it wasn't about leveling - more about friendship and working together to be -maybe- level 60.
The Music really brings out the storyline. Really sad, great plot.
Ghostlands is, by far, the best leveling anyone can get in-game. I wish I could've stayed there through 80. I rerolled near 30 chars just to relive it that many times.
Best place to level if you're playing horde. I come here on every Horde char rather than tromping through the enormity of the... *shudder*... Barrens...
The starting areas for the BEs is still the best leveling experience, IMO. Great quests, great storyline. If you cared about lore at all, it was amazing. Blizzard actually put some love into it. Its a pity that when you have a lvl 70/80 you don't want to start all over again.
I would just like to mention that Wotlk drove me, a loyal fan of the game, away. What a waste, Blizzard.
While BC probably added the most lore to the game, I don't think WOTLK's lack of it should drive anyone away. I mean, the only Northrend zones that seem to be lore-less are Howling Fjord and Borean. Besides, there's always the hope that Cataclysm will revamp the Old World Plotline. Lots of potential there.
2:25 - absolutely breathtaking. Amazing how the music composers at Blizzard can bring such lively, vivid colors to a dead place such as the Ghostlands.
Dammit, I miss this game SO much. I'm so glad all this music is uploaded, at least I can relive my memories in some way.
I have to say, Burning Crusade was probably the best aspect of Wow, ever. Shattrath is probably the best "main city hub" in the entire game. Outlands is made up of very interesting zones.
WOTLK was kinda lame. And pre-BC probably wasn't so bad.
The zones are 100% more interesting than BC. Hellfire Peninsula? Come on. Borean Tundra is my favorite area in WOTLK because it is so diverse. It's not just a bunch of charred red rocks and lava that does NOTHING spitting out of them. Heroics and Naxx are easy mode, yes, but ulduar is the perfect balance for me.
@c0mbineelite wotlk sux....dude...hellfire peninsula, what the fuck did u expect for it to be???areas in norhrend just got better graphics nothing more....but i would always choose isle of quel'danas and eversong woods over any place
Don't get me wrong, PreBC had AMAZING tracks, but it usually takes me a bit to get out of my 50's, in which the music seems to get a bit old. BC is Outland is ALWAYS a breath of fresh air after all that leveling.
@Nameherexxx BC would be awesome if it had wotlk quests though i still like BC alot because its so diffrent From Walking on a planet To being in space and being able to fly and Zones that are impossible There sorta bringing that back with deepholm
Really? Every time I get to Hellfire Peninsula while leveling I have that brief "oh shit" moment when I contemplate going back to my main for the day.
@Supersomonerandom I agree! Cata is the only one that's kinda disappointed me, and the only reason for that is that a lot of the old music is hard to hear, like Shimmering Flats being replaced with other songs in the Tauren, Orc and Troll starting areas. Love the music in Hyjal and in Uldum.
@Nameherexxx Not in agreement here. WoW classic had the best soundtracks, but TBC is tightly close to that. I agree with WotLK though. The composers kinda lost their way, very very sadly, as I had hoped WotLK would've been the climax of WoW, considering where the RTS games ended.
@Llawliet001 I wish I could vote up a million times. This is the essence of what WoW had been for me. A roller coaster of boring farming, frustration, drama and enemies, yet an escape from my real world crap, friends, rewards and accomplishments. Hearing these tracks takes me immediately back to the varying experiences. Let me truly say, thanks WoWMusicGuru.
wow i didn't knew that Ghostlands soundtrack is a mix from other tracks ...

Reminds me of:

It really has a lonely and creepy feeling to it, but is sweet and innocent, like the essence of a child spirit.

WOTLK leveling was more enjoyable than TBC. However, TBC had far superior end game content than WOTLK. Maybe Cataclysm will find a happy median.
