Wrong. The partition of 1948 (55%/45%) was AFTER the Arabs had rejected far more favorable geographic solutions (a la the Peel Commission of 1938). This was a problem with the Arab leadership, but again, easier to point fingers at others. And had the surrounding Arab states not attacked Israel after the partition, the Palestinian people (who were really Eqyptians and Jordanians back then) would have had far more terriotry than they do now.

I'm sorry but you're wrong here, the partition included Israelis gaining 56% of the Mandate territory, simply ignoring the vast majority of Arabs, Turks, Greeks and Circassians.

That all changed after the Churchill "white paper", along with the rule that there would be no Jews east of the Jordan River. The Palestinians seem to have collective amnesia. The conflict did not start in 1948. Arabs massacred Jews in Hebron in 1929,1936; BEFORE they were "expelled" (or truth be told FLED) from their homes to make way for the arabs coming to massacre the rest of the jews.
