If you think about it, this makes sense. You kinda electrocute Draygon...

You are in a TON of water.... your Grapple Beam is made from electricity, and you connect it to MORE electricity, the current rushes through Samus's suit, hurting her but electrocuting Draygon, killing it.

I fouught him the normal way. When I won I felt like "yahu! Im the best!"

After seeing this I felt "gosh... iam so dumb. I destroyed those turrets and dindn't ask what they were for. I nearly died for no reason"

@BladeTheFirst Yeah, me too I figured it out without any walkthrough of hints. It was on my first (shitty) playthrough where I got very few items. I have to admit that it was mostly a guess though... Ya know, principles of physics and stuff. Using the Grappling Beam as an electricity conductor... I wasn't actually thinking it would work. x)

That's how I killed that bastard but there is also another instant kill method but its hard to do you do like the charged running thing or just build up your speed then when your flashing jump to the side towards Draygon try to hit his stomach it instantly kills him but its hard to do.

@Rpoman2009 There's even another method than that! And it's good if you ran out of missiles, and/or don't have the Grapple Beam. Or if you just want to beat him quickly. Before he appears, charge the beam you have (Especially if it's either Spazer or Plasma), and aim at the direction Draygon usually comes from, and when he appears, fire the beam and (You HAVE to have the X-Ray Scope for this part) use the X-Ray Scope midfire to freeze the screen.

@Rpoman2009 If done right, the blast should be aimed at Draygon's stomach and lodged inside. When he's damaged enough, go ahead and turn the Super Scope off, and Draygon will be killed in no time flat (almost literally).

When Draygon grabs you, is there any sort of pattern of when he attacks you or is it just random? I've tried testing this and it seems like he just attacks you whenever he wants.

I don't know, I've never tested that. It seems like whenever I use the Grappling Beam trick there's always plenty of time for me to grapple a turret before getting hit, but if I get picked up while fighting it normally it sometimes hits me right away. So it may depend on how much damage Draygon has taken, but I can't say for sure.

When I walked in to Draygon's lair, I was expecting a huge-ass motherfuckin' crab with pincers as sharp as Chuck Norris' glare of doom. and then when I finally see the boss, it was another WTF moment. My God it's so freakin' ugly, I'm glad I putted it out of its misery by making her prettier with my 100 missiles, but then she died, oops.

It depends on the enemy. It can kill a lot of weaker enemies, as well as a few strong ones like the Scisor crabs, in a single hit, but on others it doesn't have any effect at all.

The electricity is there to send out bolts of energy to damage Samus. Pretty simple there. And yes, this IS a trick - and the way you're meant to destroy this boss is via missles...the old fashioned way. Myself...I'll roll on two with Ol' Sparky. It's just easier.

That theme is just one of the two generic boss fight songs in Super Metroid, also playing during the Torizo fights and escape sequences. Not until Metroid Prime and Fusion was it used specifically as Ridley's theme.
