These movies failed, largely because the were supposed to be evangelistic, but were written in such a way that only a sliver of church-going people could relate. they were unappealing to most who didn't speak "church." It's sad, because the acting was better than most church movies of that time. And the women are hot, too!
That girl says whats more than corn on the cob then she sticks her finger in her mouth and mouths the word dick. Shes a hottie though. but very naughty.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
After all that is going on in the world right now, I wish our churches would preach this again because the end is near,. Not trying to be a doomsayer just the facts agree here.
@cyrusreign unfortunately this will not be happening as more and more churches abandon the truth for a lie. this is also a prophesy that in the end times there will be a falling away of the elect as churches don't preach the word and believers don't live it.
@dodge96neon Sad but true. I can't figure out people who think God is all love and would never send anybody to hell, no matter what. God is love, God is good, but you can't have good without evil. Now, that might be disturbing to some people, but considering that in the end, good triumphs over evil ultimately, you'd think people would be putting 2 and 2 together on that one.
@TheBookWorm1718 The problem is, we have totally lost what the idea of love is. Love as defined by society today is warm and fuzzy and convenient. If God didn't love, He wouldn't have sent Christ. God is holy, and the holiness and integrity of God is what is lost. God will judge because He is holy, God hates sin because He is holy, and God made the way for Christ's sacrifice to atone for sin because He is love.
@WMPreacher Indeed. Some people can't understand why in the Bible, God told the Isrealites to kill babies. But that's because they don't understand that God is love and sometimes killing babies is neccessary to fulfill his plan.
@AirplaneRider Or when God inspired the unfortunate passing of 42 children via bears for dissing his prophet's baldness. What the lost refuse to accept is that God is BEYOND OUR COMPREHENSION and hairstyle disses may very well be vastly more important outside this space and time.
@tjonp You need to remember that in the Psalms and in 2 Peter it says "A day with the LORD is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day." When you're dealing from God's perspective, time is not the same. God exists outside of time. In God's eyes, soon could easily be 2,000 years. What's 2,000 compared to 10 billion? The truth is, there will always be the faithful and the scoffers until the end of the age; then the scoffers will be caught off-guard and unprepared.
It is a shame that old man betrayed them.

Apparently, the joke at 1:24 is what passes for comic relief in this movie.

@cyrusreign I seem to recall Jesus thinking the end was near. (Matt 24:34)
These "facts" are in your head. There have been people preaching the "end times" in every generation for the past two millennia.
