Dreamcast collectors will still want to pay for a dreamcast because they want the system. Think about those things that play nes and snes games that sell for about $20. not really for just the 80gb pretty much every ps3 since it's just an emulator that can be upload via firmware or via DL on the PSN though still you can't play ur ps2 games(hard copies) you have to DL it via PSN but it still worth it at least it's no longer impossible for the ps3.

Plus you won't be losing some of the features that have been taken away from PS3 consoles after the 60 GB model ended production (PS2 compat., Super Audio CD playback, 4 USB ports). NewEgg dot com sells HDDs at a good discount.

Well, its sony's fault for taking an extra year releasing the PS3 and now because of that they're languishing in 3rd place which is the only place you can be to finish last in the race. Now its doing everything it can to make that up. This is a good idea to potentially have entire dreamcast back catalogue. Hope the updated games will come with their own trophies/achievements and possibly add an online component where possible.
