Dude I know this vid is old as hell and I am bumping this shit but that bike sounds fucking boss. I like when you opened the throttle before killing it and the guy in the background just says "whoa!!" LOL
I just got the bike and it is Beautiful. I have to Thank you because your video made me want it that much more. its not as loud as yours its actually really quite. I'll post a video of it as soon as I can.
Hi, the colour is from Dupont.. white pearl iridescent, very glossy, pity that in the video can't see it. I sold this bike and I left with her my heart.. now i'm riding an Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe EFI. Thanks a lot brother for your comment. Safe Ride and Ride in Peace!
hey, wow... I know this is an old post, but I have to ask.. do you like your softail better? waiting anxiously for a response.. the more info you give me, the happier i'll be. Tell me anything & everything about it!
Both bikes are two different planets, V-Star is easy to drive bike, light shifting use, handlefull and can cruise for miles and miles. Softail is same but has much more power, has a rugged engine and more heavy weight, it can cruise better than V-Star for long distance. Harley Davidson is Harley Davidson.
The V-Star has not much power in excess. If you want get a bit of difference you need work on carburetors further the exhausts and air intake. there will be the need of a rejetting and reposing the needles, then a right full tuning of carburetors.
all I done was the substituion of air filter with Hypercharge, rejetting the carburetor and changing the exausts.. Now is muche better and the sound is really loud.. ;)
how much difference can u tell by adding the hypercharger and pipes? i have a 650 classic and i would love for it to actually sound like a bike and run faster...do u know ur top speed after the mods? before?
Very nice! That Hypercharger and Exhaust combo makes such a noticable difference to the whole bike. I'm looking to pick up my first bike soon, i might even aim for a rig similar to yours. ;)
What kind of engine guards did you put on your bike? I bought a pair but, they don't fit because of my VH pipes and yours look like they have a lot of clearnace.
The engine guards are in stainless steel marine grade and then polished. I designed and builded them from myself, they are a bit more larger that others. The handlebar is Burly Brand Beach Bar series, 36" wide.
Right, better than play the horn! :-) The handlebar is Burley Brand beach bar 1 meter wide, maybe a bit excessive long but looking great. On his inner runs all electrical wires tapered on original plugs. When I will have a bit of time I will post a slideshow pics of my customized V-Star. Thanks for watching!

Yeah the stock pipes are pretty quiet unless you put full load on it at low rpm, then it sounds mean.
I've been trying to find some nice pipes to give it that really deep growl. Closest I've come to is the Roadhouse 2 into 1 pipes

thats the exact same bike I am looking at. It looks great with white or the two tone grey. Great Ride man. Live to ride, Ride to Live.
