  • I know i'v commented on this before but....

    Oh well

    It isn't half going slow!

Anyone read about the signal falure in the central the other day?

  • yep ..it was about to get a red further down the line cos the deanside was going in

  • @Sugababeslover Due to the fact the 318 had no brakes the train must travel at a speed where the unit providing the braking can stop the whole formation safely. As has been said already it was following naother train so its dropped to about 15/20mph in plenty of time.

  • Strange, Adrossan route.

Don't travel on 314's much tbh.

But glad they are going hehe!

  • Hunterston is a nuclear power plant 10 mile up the road from my town. Hunterstormis between west kilbride and fairlie.

  • nice one aye i seen it sometimes when going to largs

  • yep they rule!:P

  • What a catch, which 318 unit was it did you see?

in all my time of doing trains i've heard of plenty of units breaking down but never a knackered 314. i don't want them to retire.. :(

  • thanks mate!:) cannae rememeber lol am bad with numbers:P

314s sure are great! u know what i seen yesterday i was kicking myself cos of this

a 3 car 334 moving a 2 car 318 into sheilds depot ..... if i had camara ready i could have got it on video!! i just had taken a pic of a 1 car 318 as well in sheilds lol

  • @scottishrailways I've never heard a multiple unit of one class shunting a member of another class before!

  • You were at Ardrossan South Beach? I was up that way on Saturday at Largs!

  • no that is where the train was going to tho

but i have been to ardrossan south beach about 2 months ago to get the class 37 mentor trains:)

  • I seen a class 37 at Troon about 4 weeks past, it was at the siding at Barassie, but I just ignored it, as I thought it'd be common! Wish I took a photo now!

  • lol yes u should have! 37s rule!!!!! and they aint common either:P

  • Do you know when the next 37 will come down my way!

  • usually 2 37's do the flasks to hunterston today but they didnt .. maybe on thursday .. but on tuesday next week they should definatly run

  • Past Troon? Is there any way to get a timetable that says when 37s, 66s, 156s ect... come?

  • i dunno it goes past gilmour street twice to hunterston which is not far after ardrossan near largs . gimme a minute i might have the tuesday schedules times

  • Yup, Hunterson's a power plant, it's near Fairlie/ Largs area.

  • Now that's unusual!

  • yeah now an activity can be made and nodbody can say it aint realistic:D

  • weird

  • yep:)

  • nice catch!

  • cheers bradleigh:)

  • sure is

  • Great catch very very rare!!! Love it I've never seen it. The only two different classes i have personally seen is 158 and 170 also 465 and 466. 5* and Fav

  • cheers mate!:) first time i have seen it also

  • It would of been the compressors, nowadays they have something to stop the tank going boom the driver would of saw the brake pressure getting higher and then if it gets to high the tank starts making a squeeling noise when releasing air, if the emergency air release system releases too much air it will automaticly clamp the brakes on permantley :)

  • thanks mate for educating me on how it works n stuff:P

  • No problem! rare catch tho :O 5 stars!!!

  • thats for sure! cheers adam matey!:)

  • nothing like filming a rare moment matey 5stars

    Adam
