Yeahhhh......no. Clearly much lower quality CG than any teaser they'd dare release to the public. The random nature of the placement of the explosions is also highly questionable, and the style of the explosions is not congruous to the original at all. Nice try, whoever you are, but I'm not buying it. Some college kids with too much time on their hands, no doubt. There WILL be a second one, and when it comes you will know- this isn't it.

I believe the idea for cloverfield comes from the " Snakehead Fish" While watching a documentary about them on discovery channel, it's amazing how much they relate to the possible origin of Cloverfield.
