I was in this video, had a blast filming it.was ment to be fun not hardcore.i remember freestlying back in mid 70s to early 80s,.by todays standards tricks were easy, but we had no bible on riding .all you see us do ,we created out of nothing .word,respect,history.peace
my uncle is david nourie and they dont learn fast it takes a while and my uncle always said whenever I asked him about how he got so good he simply said "practice"
I remember dave showing me how to get into the gumby in the parking lot across the street from rockville bmx.
he was cool and really kind - (other haro members (not all, but some) let the stardom go to their heads - but he really seemed humble) we rode around together for a while that day and he signed my RAD movie poster (it was real - bought from the local theater manager for $5!)
I admit that some of the tricks are laughable by today's standards... but if you can remember learning a bar hop or a cherry picker in the 80's, you might also remember being pretty happy about nailing smooth looking front end hops or coming up with a lame variation of your own (like fence plant endo poses :)) and thinking it would change the world forever.
Great Shit
