I think the way the boys sing is called falsetto. I saw a documentary on them after one of the twins had died and the other twin explained that Barry (the oldest?) had started out with this sound. Unfortunately it caused tremendous pain in his back. He still performed but he was in constant pain. Wonderful songs, fantastic voices. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but definitely mine. Love them!
