given that in my first comment i mentioned the guitar hero drums, i assumed it was clear my follow up was doing the same. i only meant real drums in terms of the game he was playing and how it was supposed to be played (with the guitar hero drums).

did i say they were more "realistic" ass hole? no. i said they were the real drums for the game, and it's easier to play on rock band drums, especially the $300 ions, than the guitar hero drums.

switching back and forth between cymbals and pads is always gonna be more skilled than the four pads laid across, and even though you CAN use cymbals for the rb2 and ion kits, you never HAVE to, so their always gonna have the advantage.

The only place where the ease of switching over between pads is relevant is in fills, and guess what - those are composed of tom and snare hits. Not cymbals.

Play both and tell me RB drums is easier.

The only reason it's easier is because the RB interface doesn't suck as much ass as the godawful GH:WT/GH:M amateurish shit.

look dude, if you can't see the obvious vertical and horizontal space differences between the drum kits that apply to every song, that's not my problem. my point still stands.

moving on, i was into rb1 until gh:wt, and i liked where the series was going better so i switched,. though i played gh:wt with both kits, and find the gh:wt kit to be both more fun, but also more difficult.

i've played rb2 as well, and both interfaces have pros and cons, but calling it "amateurish" is fanboy bullshit
