I don't play Warcraft, but I'll try to explain it better... The kid had a WoW character that for some reason would get messed up if he leveled up. If you join a party you all share exp, so you can level up even if you don't fight. The kid was crying because he was bullied into joining a party, he told them he didn't want to level up, but they purposefully killed things and forced him to level up which messed his character up. I hope that make sense, lol.

the player vs player gameplay is divided into brackets every 10 levels. many ppl atop leveling at level 19 and get all the best gear they can so they can beat the other normla level 19's no problem. they invited him to a group telling him they were dueling, then started killing things. he was 300 XP from leveling and they killed enough things to push him over to level 20. level 20 is in the next bracket. now hes level 20 with all this 19 gear and he'll be fighting level 20-29 players
