Great reproduction, and looks like it has all the working parts the original model did, but why does it look so much stiffer? I think the one in the movie had faster motors. None the less, it's amazing beyond all imagination.

That is east to build, i can do it in 1 month if i workd 12 hous every day on it. My problem is money, im broke. Basic, and Advanced Electronic components (to a degree), are free from dismantaling old rubish electronics that people throw out. You just de-solder, and test. Generaly speaking the more advanced / specialised the component, a potolytic 555 chip for example, the harder they are to scavange, the more expensive they are, the more sensitive they are and the more delicate they are.

I just thought I would say johny 5 is from the movie short curciut which was made long before Wall E. Also Wali is not really that similar. The tracks are a sort of triangle shape just like the robot in the vid and the head is somewhat the same shape. But wal E is sort of more box shaped where johny 5 is more frame like.

I do not think one is a rip off from another but if it is it has to be Wal E since wali is a recently made thing. Also I think johny 5 was more work to make.

If you're talking about J5 being ripped off of wall.e then you seriously haven't done your homework. This is an (awesome!)reproduction of a character from movies made back in the 1980s. As great as wall.e is and while there is similarities (like the eyes) This is not a "rip off" of pixars character
