  • Yes. Afrikan Unity.

  • May the mujahadeen aid the Haitians. The west is an enemy of the Haitian people. L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE. As Haitians we must align with anyone that will help us in our fight to get these occupiers off our land.

  • @THEHAITIAN1804 ... As AFRIKANS we must unit Brotha... lets do it

  • I hate Unions ! There nothing more then legal corruption...! Americas Unions are a Joke ! and always have been. I work for under a union and i hated it trouble makers. Facts.

  • @kentucky9000 Are you fucking stupid ?????

  • Well if you are gonna help haitians get prober wages, someone else is gonna have to get les..and it aint those with billons...They more lickely soon wiil make you work for 3 dollar an hour..

IMF has already warnt USA, and parts of europa just to scare the rest....

But thousind off people just made millions of dollars??hehe velcome to The new

    world order

  • oh my god 250,000 people died as a result of that earthquake...

  • Breaking US control over Haiti would require a Haitian Fidel Castro equivalent to mobilize the people, which Aristide promised to be - but he failed because he couldn't withstand the US-backed coup which toppled him. Since the USSR collapsed, even with increased South American unity, the US still has the power to intervene unpunished in places like Haiti and Honduras and a meaningful counterforce to the US has to emerge if this is to end.

  • the fact that the MILITARY were involved proves that govt approve and accept this behaviour. If u take note when we protest in our western 'democracies' who comes to stop or contain peaceful protests agianst companies....the police - an arm of the govt. Instead of the govt demanding the ppl b treated fairly they defend the offedners (criminals). Govt does NOT work for the ppl. Open ur eyes ppl

  • YET UR tax dollars support this. That's why Goldman sachs or Freddie mae were bailed out bcoz no matter what they do - WE bail them thru govt policy. They have the govt in their pockets infact they R the govt. Haiti is another externality! They dont give a shit.

  • the problem is big corportations R so protected by govt that no matter what they do to their own ppl and that of other nations is ok. As long as their profit margins r met. in economics the consequences for their actions r called 'externalities' which includes: human right violations, poverty, famine, joblessness, homelessnes, free speech, environmental disasters etc etc - these R ALL consequences these corporate crooks find acceptable bcoz they r externalities.

  • If wages so up, the multinationals will go. Better you except a low wage, then a high wage, but unemployment. Wages so up, the companies will just find a new base to assemble or manufacture cheap garments. That is just the globalized market for you, they strike and new poor people will replace them in the factories, its supply and demand.

  • @malosalele That's why you need firm governments to put those fuckers in their place and put some power back in democratic hands rather than in those of Procter and Gamble.

  • @NicosNicosNicosNicos. Democratic hands? When a mob of unruly and uneducated people are given power, don't expect good solutions. But the same can be said for the present government, they should learn for us in Singapore and Lee Kuan Yew on how to transform a country. But I doubt Haiti would or ever will.

  • @malosalele At least you speak out clearly against democracy (if I understood correctly!) rather than be mealy-mouthed about it!! :)

To my mind the unruly mob has a right to self-determination, including learning from its own mistakes. At least the solutions have a chance of being for the good of the majority rather than the good of a given company.

  • @NicosNicosNicosNicos Haiti's people successfully freed and then tried to run its own country, fighting off Napoleon's army, the British, and a US-imposed dictator, among others but to the extent that its up to the multinationals, they won't give them a chance of a decent country.

  • @NicosNicosNicosNicos. The people need to be educated first, the arms need to confiscated and the strong government, police and army need to be established. What is the use of democracy in an environment that lacks the above?

The wages are based on the basic rule of supply and demand, their is so many untrained people in Haiti, thus the wage is low. This is just the market. If Haiti raises wages too high, well the companies will go, and who will employ the workers then?

  • Our goal of reaching $500,000 to fund six months of operations is within reach. A generous member has agreed to match online donations 2:1. We only have one day to take advantage of the offer. Please visit The Real News website.

  • @TheRealNews Washington Exploits Earthquake to Reoccupy the Country

  • Gap, Old Navy, JC Penny, Hanes, Levi, Wrangler etc should be ashamed of themselves, I KNOW WHAT I AM NEVER BUYING AGAIN!!!!!!!

  • @1111GENESIS LOL, You really think they're the only ones? If you dont want to support this, you'll have to stop supporting national brands entirely, because it's pretty near systemic.

  • @Etimos Sad to say your wright!

  • We have lost time, we have to work harder, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! Yeah, this system work good....right? I am sick about this.

  • @0Honza They can live in Coruscant in a giant, white, germ-filled apartment building, I will run like Logan !!! Sanctuary ! Sanctuary ! Rocks ! Bugs ! Plants! Waterfalls ! lol. Love that quote, blessings.

  • What is the mean salary of the country? If you carry out your boycotts....who gets hurt? How did the country become so poor? They used to be the sugar jewel of the French Empire.

  • @funwidude ....US Government of US Sugar in Florida killed the sugar industry in Haiti...US Sugar is being bought out by Florida in 2020 so there should be some way then for Haiti to make a comeback in the sugar industry but not before.

  • The "Free Market" is bunk.

  • interesting

  • the cheap clothes and brand name clothes are made in the same factories, so why do the brand names cost so much more? its all a rip off!

  • Pathetic. They can't even control a country against insurgents equiped with AK-47 and improvised weaponry. Give it a freak storm or two, their forces will be out of the island ruined by an earthquake in no time.

  • @0Honza sadly too many western citizens are apathetic and don't care. They feel that "Cheap" costs is all that matters. Yet it produces cheap products, and terrible conditions on the 3rd world.

  • @0Honza - Sir, why don't you think that is a life? Please check out - The Venus Project. Peace!

  • Of course the US is undermining Haiti's unions. The US Gov is owned and run by the rich and corporate power. They exploit any opportunity to take advantage of people and naturally they saw the earthquake as a great opportunity to crush the people more, undermine democracy, all too maximize profits for corporations. Capitalism doing what capitalism always does.

  • US for decades caused the poverty of Haiti (supporting Papa Doc with marines), which in turn meant VERY poorly buult buldings, which in turn caused the mass destruction in an earthquake that in California for example, would have left MUCH less damage and death. US is responsible for the poverty and therefore destruction and death.

  • slave labor us military keeping the slaves in check for big corporations.

  • more proof the US military is nothing but the bully arm of corporate amerika

  • Boycott Old Navy, Gap, Levis et al who maintain this disaster of human bondage. End the tyrany with your pocket book. Know what you buy and where it comes from.

  • I no longer recognize these meat-heads as U.S. soldiers. We don't have a military anymore,we have an army of corporate mercenaries. Fuck those goons & their lame ass "i'm just doing my job" excuses. I'm going to laugh extra loud the next time one gets mangled from an IED.

  • The USA Military, like the rest of the government does not work for the people but rather for big corporations.

  • @klard wepollock says that near the end of an empire the economy becomes the military and the military becomes the economy...here we are.

  • @hamletundone : yes you are exactly right. Young people in the USA today have 3 choices. To join the military. To work at a sub poverty wage. To resort to other sources of income to survive and end up in prison. We need no draft to fill the ranks of the military. We have become a military force with a country to keep it supplied.

  • @hamletundone - So.....what did Mr. Wepollocks say happens after that? Peace!

  • @klard

That's right the US military is used to invade countries the US taxpayers pay all the bills.

You get to invade free of charge, the government gives worthless paper back to the peasants. That's how ignorant the US people are of their money laws.

Big reading problems in the states, you pay the government to kill you slowly.

  • @boots920 - What do you mean The U.S. Government gives worthless paper back to the peasants? I don't understand. Peace!

  • @Lingerfoot

Worthless paper - Federal Reserve Notes

The football fans accept the PAPER as valuable no problem.

Gold, Silver = US LEGAL TENDER BY LAW the government ifs fucking ya hard mang.

  • They did the same thing in my homeland of Honduras

  • USA= United States of Assahola

    Yankee- go Home. Gringo- vamoos!

Hated, despised and reviled everywhere your fat feet step.

A Yankee gives five dollars with a grin and pats himself on the back for his "charity" and expect 20 returned plus interest.

Haiti- invite Russia, China & Venezuelan miilitary in and rent out your port to the Russians. Rent your airfield to the Chinese.

Yankee will piss their pants like Kennedy over Cuba.

  • its becoming very clear to everyone that the US has well over stepped there rights, I support anyone who doesnt support the US governments strong arms.

    God bless the IED.

  • Retired U.S. General Smedley Butler in his book "War is a Racket", said his entire military career was spent suppressing foreign peoples in order to financially benefit American corporations.

  • @nikto2000 thanks for the name if the book, i will have to check it out.

  • @nikto2000 The military works for the government, the government works for the corporations, the corporations work for the almighty dollar, and the almighty dollar says Free trade with countries whose workers have a lower standard of living and can be paid the equivalent of a dollar an hour is a cost effective deal. This is nothing unexpected, only the inevitable end result of unrestricted capitalism. Being the wealthiest country on earth has a price.

  • The resistance is not destroyed - It if was, then Haiti would have been annexed already, believe me.

And next time you hear the press whores claim,"Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere," this is why. The US worked overtime to destroy the country, through economic isolation, coups, undermining democratic elected governments, embargoes, invasions, and just about way I can think of, yet the spirit of resistance lives and it will continue to live. Fuck what you heard!

  • Yes, the U.S. actually set up the Haitian police constabulary in 1915 & it became an extension of U.S. intervention & control, long after the U.S. left the country.

The brutal Papa Doc Duvalier used the police force to become dictator.

The U.S. created many police forces & gave police assistance to many Latin American countries & used them as a less visible means of politically controlling them.

Again in the 1990s the U.S., with the help of the UN & the CIA began reorganizing Haiti's police.

  • @CapitalistHolocaust Why am I not Surprised

  • @CapitalistHolocaust

Why did Eisenhower's Iron Triangle warning go unheeded?

  • @nadoop

Why not riot- burn your politicians and invite Cuba and Venezuela in?

Chavez and Senor Castro make Yankee soil their Levi's.

  • @purbanegoro Haha - This does seems like the only fucking solution these days.

  • Where is the Bush/Clinton charity on this issue? Surely they would put an end to the military oppression of the unions.

    Free Haiti!!

  • imperialism ... YAY!

  • @0Honza

The shares need to be part of the workers salary otherwise its slave labor you'll never be able to get ahead. Waste of priceless time. The workers don't mind working for value, but working for nothing is outrageous.

.All paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind.

    Aristotle

  • @boots920 The problem is that often the shares given to the workforce are insignificant compared to those of the individual big investors.

  • @CommissarRed (re:boots920's comment) Just imagine paying workers the share equivalent of US$3 a day! Makes no sense. What are they going to do? Refrain from eating to play the stock market? It's pure "let them eat cake".

  • @CommissarRed

The shares are only for the workers , outsiders don't get a taste.

Gives a worker motivation if they part of the success of the company.

Works great , many successful companies use this technique for success.

Many investors (vested interest in the companies success)

  • @boots920 On another planet maybe.

  • @NicosNicosNicosNicos

The counterfeiting operation isn't going so well though.

    1971 - Gold $35 in paper

2010 - Gold $1160 in worthless paper , the fiat money system is toast because the US taxpayers can't recognize real US tender.

  • @joshv89 and how forces whom?

  • @joshv79

    Slavery is much cheaper no?

Funny how the same multinational corporations can afford to lobby the US government but can't seem to afford paying workers a living wage.

If wages are too high then why don't you work for a few cents a day?

  • @micahgee

Better work for a few cents a day than go on without earning anything

  • @joshv89

No, let's allow countries to have some control over movements of large scale capital and rein in the system of unbridled international capital flows that the global corporatocracy uses to carry out it's world wide policy of wage reduction (e.g. real wages have been stagnating or declining for 80% of Americans since the beginning of radical trade liberalization 30 years ago, in Haiti real wages have dropped by 50% since the country was forced into "free" trade at gunpoint, etc)

  • @PavedStones

Corporations have nothing to do with the free market, they are created and enforced by the state, the only reason Haiti is in this unfortunate circumstance is because of foreign governments

  • @joshv89

Or else we can also go on reducing the wages of every workforce in the world till starvation line so that hopefully corporations can continue to run the world and make sure that the income and power of the 10% richest continues it's exponential, astronomical increase at the expense of the 80% below them until the whole world looks like Haiti. That's what we're heading to anyway

  • @PavedStones

The minimum wage is the biggest reason as to why unemployment figures for youths are so high,if an individual enters the workplace without any experience companies aren't allowed to pay him less money due to that law and so have no choice but to go for the experienced worker.

  • @bofors7715 meh.

  • @bofors7715 The third world is somehow less "real" than 6% of the world which is the US?

  • @bofors7715

Yeah, caring about suffering people is all just retarded "left wing crap". Down with the people, long live our rulers!

  • Corporations need to offer shares in the corporations to ensure success of the company.
