Wow. In this day of speed and guitarists playing the guitar as though they are playing the piano as that which doesn't have half of the devices as does the guitar for expression, i.e., being able to use vibrato, etc, here's a Segoviaesque playing at its finest with so much expression and speed at the same time. I really love her transcription of Chopin and this is simply awesome. Simply Refreshing. This is what guitar and guitar playing is all about. This is the reason why I love the guitar.

It's tuned a tone lower.. may I ask why?

The guitar is drop-tunned D G A G B E so it can be played in that key - my guess it's Dm. This is done to make playing the piece in a desired key easier or in this case, possible. It can be played in a different key in standard tuning too. Many guitarists don't like drop tunning but in this case, I think it's well worth it to get a darker sound.

Great technique, but I think some of the musical decisions are a bit suspect. I keep hearing a beautiful phrase be set up, only to be dashed by an over-exaggerated note. Also, the melody gets lost in the chromatic passage (I know how hard that passage is, but still). Nonetheless, an impressive performance of a difficult piece.

Great playing, great song. I never liked this piece transcribed to guitar because when the main theme is restated with the chromaticism it has a stronger effect on piano. Other than that, its great!

Jason Vioux and Denis Azabagic are both really boring guitarists i nearly fell asleep in their concerts more so Vioux than Azabagic. This is a very nice performance by Luque I will definately listen to more of her. She has such bad posture though, i'm glad i don't have her backbone! I suggest listening to Pavel Steidel, Izhar Elias, Harold Gretton, Alexander Tsubulski and Duo Pulguise for the music. Failing that a lot can be learned Technicaly from Williams, Yamashita and Wang Yameng too.
