KDKA's gravely voiceover guy was always my favorite! They need to bring him back. If anyone has some KDKA-AM 1020 old school radio stuff, they should post it too!
KDKA was just solid in the 90s. Their talent now is pretty good, and it was good back then. The graphics and music were great. Brenda Waters is underutilized at the moment; she should be the host of Pittsburgh Today Live at the least.
They focus on the quality of news, don't waste money on flashy graphics and a nice combo of sight and sound, KDKA is one of the best TV stations in America.
Their logo is similar to the KPIX 5 logo, the font and golden color is alike KDKA's. The two stations are both CBS O&Os, or have a strong association with CBS networks.
1:55 is hilarious, in the early 1990's more and more shoppers went ahead to shop early. Today, everyone waits the last minute on black friday in a bad economy.+
