this clip is from 2006 which is also the year the episodes of the new loonette were taped and premiered. the old loonette episodes were taped in the early 1990's to the early 2000's (from 1993-2002), then she left the show.

I have seen most of the Alyson episodes and all of the Ramona episodes and I don't really think you can compare them in my opinion. They both play the role totally different - Alyson sort of acted as the authority figure to the viewers, while at the same time tried to make you believe she was a child herself, while Ramona brings out more of Loonette's childish side, but still acts as a babysitter at times.

No, after the last few episodes were made in canada an american producer bought the rights to it in 2006 and made it an american program.. They only made 20 new episodes.. Of course alyson court was better than this gilmoure girl but they look enough alike that it wasnt that big a difference for only 20 episodes...
