They're gonna ground sum A380s due to hairline fractures in the wing.
Personally, of they get these kinds of stresses this early in their career then it only adds to my already certain belief that these aircraft are just far too big to fly!
it would be so funny if someone was siiting in their seat and all of a sudden the got jerked back form the takeoff since you dont hear any noise from the engines
@chanminah Singapore Airlines dosen't have the A319 and A320, A321, B767 and some of others. So this is a A380, as u can see its high. looking like landing at the first part.
wow that plane just looks heavy. I have to say the 777 is a lil more exciting if you have the right seats... business class row 9-11 windows... get to see the engines make a vapor cloud by the fans
@ArticMuse That rattling sound comes from Business Class galley´s service carts, trolleys, tableware and service sets which are stoved for take off. Thank you.
@ArticMuse The Airbus A380 has a wingspan of 261 feet and 8 inches. It weighs about 556,000 pounds. It has over 4 million parts and over 310 miles of cable running through it's majestic body. I would say a few squeaks are more than normal. You also have to take into account the luggage compartments, luggage, trolley's, tableware and service sets, not to mention the all the plastic paneling in the plane. Hope this helps!
First of all, what you just said makes absolute no sense. Second, do you really wanna start a piss war with me on this, think carefully about it. You obviously have no knowledge of aviation whatsoever.
@shmuck50 i think so, The flaps produce Lift, and the heavier the plane is, the more lift it needs, so i think the heavier you are the more flaps you need
WOW ! Amazing vid ! The soundscape in this plane surprises me. The hydraulic can be heard very clearly, the engines are pretty quiet. I expected it contrariwise. :)
I will be flying to Paris on Air France on an A380 in late March. I have great window seats. I want to film my take off. How did you get away with doing that? Can you get into trouble? Will they think you're up to no good if they see you filming this?
Just keep your camera with you when seated. Put it in a seat pocket front of you. When cabin crew is seated you can take it. They no that some passengers are enthusiastic to fly with A380 so you won´t get any trouble. But if they deny you to use it, then you will not have your film.
i dont understand one think: who invented to forbid to make video in aircraft? All this hysteria with terrorism, - story for stupid idiots in differents countryis. Camaras cant make harm to avionics/ and telefons too!!!!

But that's not the point, the main reason why you are to turn off electronic equipment is due to study's have shown that their signal can set off the fire suppressant systems for the engines causing them so shut down mid flight or whenever the device was act
@jainish007 Different airlines have different policies, always ask first. I can tell you right now that United Airlines strictly forbids filming aboard their aircarft at any time for any reason. Lame, huh?
@jainish007 No problem. Generally, when you ask, the attendants or pilots are fairly accommodating, and if they do allow it, they will ask whether or not your recodring device sends or receives signals during filming. Camcorders almost never do, phones are a grey-area, so make sure you set your phone to Airline Mode. Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, US Airways allow it, but ask first.
@ejdf870 They wont think you're up to no good. It will cause no harm to the plane. The only reason they tell you to turn off electronic devices is so that you can pay attention in an emergency. And think about this, with around 500 people on the plane, will the flight attendents really be able to spot you that easily? :)
@runway34r Thanks. I did film my takeoff, but guess what? I stupidly deleted the scene by accident, thinking it was another (useless) movie clip. I was in despair for months after this, and was looking for software to extract deleted scenes.
@hernyxxx Whatever man, that's why most airline CFM's you read specifically say that you put away all electronic equipment for takeoff and landing. It's normally for the first and last five minutes of the flight but most Captains do so right before takeoff and during the final decent into their destination. And by the way, it's not even an A380...
@diamondstar156 actually it is an A380 didnt u notice the quiet takeoff no other plane can do that and that it needed to make such a long takeoff role those should be clues to the fact that its is a big plane plus Singapore Airlines uses a lot of A380s
A380 length: 238 ft 8 in --- B747-400 length: 231 ft 10 in. The difference comes from the extension of the upper deck. Why you people think that an A380 dwarfs a 747 is beyond me.
Economy. The Best economy class . I recommend their Business Class as I saw it during boarding. Seats were huge and private, there was a room for two to sit on one seat.
@raykrislianggi The A380 is a garbage scow. It has too many problems to quantify as any type of contender to the 747. Not only that, they'll never get to the Magic 400 mark. The plane is crap.
@SenorSpode I don't really think so. I'm a very big fan of Boeing and I have to admit that the ride quality, the engine noise, and a lot of other stuff is better than the 747. As said, this take off was with some turbulence, B777 wouldn´t made it any better. For me... the best of all Boeing´s is B777-300ER only. I prefer Airbus.
They're gonna ground sum A380s due to hairline fractures in the wing.

As said, this take off was with some turbulence, B777 wouldn´t made it any better. For me... the best of all Boeing´s is B777-300ER only. I prefer Airbus.
