It's a loose translation because this is gloss. There is a difference between "signed English"( - what most people do on youtube. It is a literal signed translation) and ASL gloss.

As an ASL student/future instructor I don't think this is that bad at all. For a hearing(?) person who might not even be a student, I think this is beautiful.

My ASL instructor and her classes thought so as well.
