Obviously, this is not the true quality of the camera. Youtube HD videos are around 2 Mb/s, while XDCAM is either 25 or 35 Mb/s. In other words, youtube compresses the video 15x more than the camera does.

Did you hold the camera in hand along with the gyro and did you overcrank the image?

Exactly. Its not hard to do.

There is not enough room for the full steady cam in any beaver. You have to hand hold it with the gyro attached to the bottom. You will need to set aside $6000 for a basic gyro.

Hi Chad,

I used smooth cam on two shots. The shot before the ending and the ending had to be smoothed out.

The rest were like you said, over cranked to naturally smooth the main shots.

Are you doing any smooth-cam in post? The shots look pretty good. Maybe because they are mostly in smo-mo?

I'm getting one of these cams. Just wondering:

1. Can you do unlimited overcranking? (until the card is full)

2. If you are taping in normal speed, can you switch to overcrank on the fly?
