Otherwise, this war would have ended 4 years ago when they took Congress.

The complication for Corey is that he volunteered and was not drafted into the US military, and the Iraq war was dubious from an international law perspective from the get go. So he had ample prior knowledge. That's clear *now*, but I bet the recruiters never told Corey that in 2002, when there wasn't a pressing need for troops, and he thought he was only signing on for domestic duty.
