i associate this particular track to a very dear friend who is no longer with us. we would play "Mario Kart" on N64 and i would always call her "toad the wet bastard" because she was the character "Toad". cheers Dianne, you are missed.

I adore this song. It perfectly sums up how I perceive people all the time. Insecurities below the surface that threatens to consume us all, but never talked about. The lyric text is a must for this one too, notice how after each line he sings, the backup repeats it but slightly differently. Echoing the subtext. Fucking amaing.

This song reminds me of family get-to-gathers. I remember happier times when it wasn't about who has more education, and who makes the most money. Truth, is sometimes stranger than fiction. Life has taught me some hard lessons, and the hell of it is; I never saw it coming. I like this song, it just shows me other people have been in similar situations. That which does not kill us makes us harder, but no matter what keep your head up.
