How didn't I think of that before?! Just incorporate diminished runs, and sometimes you do it chromatic, but mostly harmonic minor, AND melodic minor, so it might apear like it's one kind of scale, cause it's connected in a certain way!
Great lesson again! I completely understand it how; just incorporate diminished runs, and sometimes you do it chromatic, but mostly harmonic minor, AND melodic minor, so it might apear like it's one kind of scale, cause it's connected in a certain way!

@chhrriissss Yeah,I know what you mean,Yngwie is a true inspiration for me.It's more about getting inspired,it's not really a lesson that shows you how to play something. It shows you the WAY,the path you can chose if you want.It can spice your playing up.
Yeah man you`re all right you just said what I thought !
Though a lot of peoples don`t understand this, they think yngwie should show them every note or something like that.
though if you listen quite you will be able to leran very much of him and I love the way he shows us his riffs and licks and arpeggios, you just have to be mindful to understand it :D
@chhrriissss Nobody can practise for us.It's all ourselves. The more we do,the more we'll get.But on our way we can get a lot of inspiration from great artists like Yng or Beethoven or Hendrix or whoever. We can profit from their licks and technique, but WE have to practise that stuff,it's not Yngwie who makes us sweeping virtuosos ;) I don't like that attitude some people have. They want people to show them everything.Well, most times we have to work things out ourselves without any help.
Yeah that`s what I want to say, these guys show us the WAY how to make it !!
Of course video lesson where you see every note where and how to play, this is much more easyier but I much more like these lesson where you have to be mindful, watch and listen quite what he does
You`re right
I think it is not important that you can play this song of yngwie it is important that you will be able to use his licks riffs and whatever to make own songs wiht yngwie style
damn u bunch of little pussys, do u know what i did? i took my guitar, a round file and i fucking scalloped the neck in stead of wondering for years hot it's like
na not 1cm.. thats a lot.. but he has scalloped frets, makes it harder to play fast, easier for bendings and vibratos.. means, he could play faster than this..
haha you're so wrong.. its harder to play fast because the action is way higher than on normal guitars, but it's easier to perform bends and vibratos with them.. i assume you've never played a guitar with scalloped frets, otherwise you'd notice, chords arent hard at all to play
Dude, the action isnt any higher. Its the same hight as a normal neck has, just that you don't get the friction from the fretboard. Its still not any easier to play fast.
If you listen to the VERY first thing he said he goes "when I played that..." meaning what he was talking about was the previous video and this is the second progression of whatever he was doing at the time...hence why the video changes and says "progression 2"
the thing he was talking about first and this have absolutely nothing to do woth each other. there are no diminished runs, melodic or harmonic minor keys or chromatics. still very funky!
Yeah Bedroom Eyes !

@chhrriissss If I want to learn a solo,I just look for the tabs. What Yngwie teaches us can't be learnt with a tab.

scalloped frets makes it harder to play fast
grdianngel 3 years ago 7
na, a good guitar with scalloped dont make it hard, make it easy, because you need less force, just you need more subtlety, that is all
senescencia 3 years ago
@grdianngel are you sure??...i think it's the opposite...
Jazzbz 8 months ago
once u get as good as that u can play fast on any guitar
also this is an instructional vid, not supposed to give u a nosebleed

With Scalloped frets is easier to:
-play fast
-bends and vibratos
With Scalloped frets is harder to:
-play chords
THAT'S ALL!!

OssyVezzy 2 years ago 3
well, scalloped frets doesn't automatically mean that the action is high, even though Yngwie prefers it that way.
