@SoundsAndGear OK thanks. I was just having a bit of an issue with Kontakt 5 via Sonar 8.5 using the Vintage plug-in. I am going to try the stand alone player and see if that works.

@san5a89 you can play it via a midi controller, but if you want to record your playing you will need a program to record it in.

@san5a89 yes if you buy this it comes with the free player, so you just hook up your keyboard to your computer and play. Komplete is a bunch of instruments and fx from NI.

@san5a89 any relatively new laptop should work, but a netbook will not be fast enough or have enough ram to run it.

@GwenDUff I don't think either is geared towards hip hop/r&b, but either one will work for it, komplete has more in terms of diffferent instruments but omnisphere is amazing on it's own, I like and use them both.

@SoundsAndGear but you could probably try a virtual midi keyboard to turn your keyboard into a midi controller, like bomes version, there are a few out there that do it, search virtual midi keyboard

i downloaded and registered the kontakt player that means i would only have to buy the upgrade and not the full version right beacause i was confused when i went to there website.and for some reason i can only use kontakt player as a vst and not kontakt 4 do i have to buy the full version to use it as a vst because i can only use it as a stand alone thx man

@NINOBROWN914 no doubt, yeah you should be able to use the kontakt player as a vst, you don't need to upgrade unless you have files that aren't compatible with kontakt player and need the full version.

Hi would you please tell me the files you have for run Vintage Organs? I can't run the libraries because the kontakt program says "this patch was generated by a newer version of the application. Please upgrade your copy to load the patch"

@San5a you need to update your version of kontakt, they were made for the newest version of kontakt 4, you should be able to download the update through the service center

@SoundsAndGear how can I update the program? The site asks me to log in but I'm not registered...

@San5a you should have been registered when you bought the software, if you just have kontakt player just open the ni service center app on your computer and it will show you any updates you need. You had to use the service center to activate Vintage Organs, so use that account to login to the service center and it will tell you if you need any updates. Do you have the full version of Kontakt or just the Kontakt player?

@San5a no you can't to my knowledge, just download the free kontakt 4 player and it will work with that.

@San5a vintage organs works with the free kontakt player, did you activate it in the NI service center with the serial number they sent you? Then in kontakt player, go to the libraries tab, add library, point it to the vintage organs folder

Yo, this is kinda a side question bruh.... Do you get a lot of "missing content" messages for your kontakt library?! If so, how do you fix that?! I just updated my Kontakt to the most recent uodate and I'm still getting that message for a lot of the instruments!

@prettdboy nah not really unless I move something, you can either have it search for them in your kontent location and resave the instrument when it finds them, or go into your databse settings and set it to rescan the database, making sure it points to where your kontakt libraries are.

Yo Joe, I got a Maschine question for you. Do you know how to make the sensitivity of the pads work when using Maschine as a VST instrument as responsive as when Maschine is used in stand alone mode? I'm having this problem of having to mash down on the pads just to get any sound out and I rather not brake my Maschine trying to make a beat if you know what I mean. Great vid as always and I have to agree with you since I've just up graded my Komplete 6 to 7.

@dopemcee because I get IP address info from each person that submits :) Now if they go through the trouble of spoofing their IP address then that's another story, I'm sure you would probably find some folks that cheat, people who want to cheat, will cheat, those that are honest are honest...it's just not that serious and I'm not going to stress myself out trying to find cheaters...if I saw the same ip address I didn't put them in twice, etc.

@pr0lyric thanks for checking.... Omnisphere is not really the same as Komplete 7, two different animals really. Komplete is more "all around" where Omnisphere is focused on what it does...it's one instrument vs many...both are awesome though :)
