  • These lieder, etc with scores are one of the best things on YouTube. Thanks SO much for putting in the effort to make these!!

  • where can i find this sheet music

  • wow, the first song by Schubert I've found I don't like, at all. Nowt to do with KTK

  • um wow, tempo much!? its amazing =D So learning this one =D

  • Kiri Te Kanawa is underrated as a great Schubert lieder singer. This was a brilliant performance.

  • O dear...now I know what I'm getting into. Although I'm performing in B, not E, but this will be an excellent reference.

  • I love it!!

oh my God!! this is so fast!! sing this is very dificul!!

where did you found all this Schubert´s sheet music??

  • Marvellous! Her voice, her German, the clarity of her diction, the feeling of anxiety she conveys. "Luck without peace, Love, that's what you are". Tx to civileso for posting this series of lieder with scores, really nice.

  • That is...fast. I'm amazed at how clear the diction is despite the tempo.

  • Thanks for the score.

  • Make that Schumannesque instead of Schumann-ian, btw.

Now that I think about it.. I can definitely see where you are coming from. The opening of Schumann's Kreisleriana has the same feel to it indeed. Those restless rolles chords..

  • This piece is from Schumann, not Scubert, I think. The words are from Goethe.

  • This is 500% Schubert - there is nothing even remotely Schumann-ian to be found in this Lied.

    No offence of course ;-)

  • it is definitely schubert, my solo teacher has that schubert album in which this song is...

  • zra. True. My mistake.

  • i also do mistakes, everyone does. glad you don't take it as an offense (some people would...)

    .)

  • zral. Thank you. I never take offense. :)

  • I love the way she finishes off around 1:13. That is Kiri's hallmark.

  • Oh awesome! This is so helpful - really! I'm doing this piece right now, and It's very convenient to have the music I'm looking at in the same place as the song. (Helps memorization a lot!)

  • holy moly, that's fast.

  • Thank you for posting! This is such a great CD - the Schumann, as well.
