Look guys, it is life or death and they are animals. They have weaknesses, and strengths. The crocodile was out of it's main territory for a start, if it was in the water it would easily of killed the lion, the lion had the upper hand, and he did it to survive. Don't fight over these things.

Crocodiles are always at a disadvantage on land. In water however, lions are much less sure to win.

@Amayamodeltown Yes, but Crocodiles are capable of killing Lions too. They can and they do occasionally. Plus the lions claws would find it tough trying to penetrate the croc's thick hide.

@Dungarth Are you serious? A large crocodile could kill and drown/dismember a Lion or a Tiger. I think it depends on circumstances as I've seen a Tiger kill a crocodile too. If these were Saltwater crocodiles then there'd be no chance for the Lion or Tiger.

Exactly, I agreee with the comment "A big cat taking on a an animal of the same size" that CATs will own. That tiger killing that Crocodile on land was total ownage and a great example of that. Plus, people tend to forget that LION spar with each other on a daily bases as a way of playing around or training....besides the fact that cats will always be more mobile than a crocodile.
