As a sinner, I would listen to this song in the early 90's and play house with God and imagine the day when I would be that close to him. So heavenly... And now I'm saved and it still gives me goose bumps as if God himself was singing to me
I listen to this song everyday. When I walk around the campus of Lincoln University, I marvel at the beauty of the nature around me and the beautiful sky and I think of all the promises of God. I also think of how God is good and I praise him for the beauty around me. Thank you Jesus for keeping your promises. He is not a man that he should lie. Amen to that!

He was one of the first levites that i listened to when i came back to my place in God,and i remember the one song that had me in tears was prodigal son. It was like i felt God speaking to me in that song. I thank God for people like Fred Hammond who are blessed with a gift to write great worship songs!
When I bought Spirit Of David By Fred Hammond, my mom put this song on repeat, and I loved it. Then I let my sister borrow the cd and didn't give it back. But since heard this song so much we sung it in church. Then 4 weeks later I bought this same cd again.
