  • Two people clicked thumbs down by accident

  • Because of some cause servise of youtube don't let the possibility to send video-responses more than one time. I can`t hear your applause, that's why don't estimate my video if my music is liked you. If my music is liked you, help me to spread it to your friends.

I hope you'll like my music, that's why this music was written for you!

  • Hello, fans of Terry Pratchett!

I begin to write symphonic music. I knew about him from screen version of his first Discworld`s novel "The colour of magic". Since then I had read half of his books. I didn`t remain indifferent and wrote the number of symphonic suite "Images" - Absurd Discworld.

I suggest your attention the video with my music on my channel ra2006ra "Pratchett" or h_t_t_p_:_/_/_w_w_w_._youtube.com/watch?v=6NbM0faHptk (delete all "_").

  • I like Frost's red socks :P

  • A world without terry and his work will be a world without laughter for me.

  • Why would two people dislike this? :( :( :( :(

  • @ssaemulus The only reason I can think of, is that they too are sad... :(

  • @ArvidofDK I'll accept that. :(

  • I am wondering if i can say i love him because i do not now how to describe this feeling he is so smart and wise

i am sorry that he got diagnosed with alzheimer but even than he earns my respect how he gets along with it :)

Ithink thebest way to but it

even if i do not know in person and many idols have a weird personality, i can say that i totaly respect him and his work.

Terry PRetched ist so ein guter Auto!!!

  • that man has always touched my humanity with his writing. I just hope we all can give to the world at least half of what he has given us

  • There's a comic called "Super Stupor," one of the villains turns out to be a Pratchett fan who wants to hold the world up for ransom until someone cures Altzheimers.

    I can't post a link, but it's the 23rd of December 2007 strip

  • loving the socks Sir Frost

  • do trolls remind you of chavs? just the way they speak and uhg

  • @dotslashsatan Trolls don't necessarily have to be unintelligent ... quite the contrary.

Stupid people arguing are not necessarily trolls, just stupid people.

  • Sir Terry wishes to live an interesting life, so I'll qoute his book "May you live in interesting times" :-) All the best Terrry, I love you :-)

  • @Daggerkein You are aware that "may you live in interesting times" is actually a curse in discworld ?

  • @MrRichardQED It is in fact a Chinese curse as well. But I quoted this not in term of a curse, but in hope he fulfills his wishes :)

  • That's curious. Two centuries ago they would have given poor Terry so much mercury as a "cure" for whatever ails him that he would die a pretty corpse that does not decompose well.

  • I was turned onto Terry a bit late in life ( in my mid 30's). Since then I've read everything he has had published (multiple times over). The man has changed my life. All good things must end I suppose and as much "replay value" as his books have, there are still times when I nearly weep to think that the family I've adopted within the Discworld will grow no longer. The Klatchian Foreign Legion best treat him well... the bastards.

  • Terry, my heart breaks for you.

  • we need to help out terry pratchett. its the least we could do.

  • everyone that I respect and everyone that has contributed in shaping who I am are getting old and sick or disappearing. One day all I'll have is who I am as a result of them which makes me sad but very thankful for every thought that they gave me.

if I hadn't read terry pratchett as a child god knows what old bore I would have grown up into. thank you terry

  • very well said

  • amen to that

  • I can help my PS3 name is Bombardil007 heres a few key words to google with alzheimers and cancer, fresh coconut as only form of fat and protein in diet, real organic sea salt, mushrooms, fruitarian diet not vegan, do not drink any water at all, (i'm living this through proof, so ask me how) deep breathing, lymph is more important than blood to the overall immune system, lymphatic exersise and walking only, basic yoga and pranayama, P.H. balance or acid/alkaline, bounding, Innocent smoothies,

  • its just a pitty we probably wont have time to capture terry pretchett in a machine mind...

just imagine overclocking terry pratchett.... all those books! :3

    Multi-core pretchett!

we could have several books being writen simultaniously!

Hardware is scalable wetware is less so....

  • death and old age embugerance...

thats why i am trying to become part machine...

that way the machine part of me can persist... (ok i'll still be vunerable to bit rot though...)

  • DAMN ! So sad i love his writing ! ='(

Do not fear the reaper Terry. Just sad he comes too soon in my opinion =(

  • thats a shame for this to happen to probably the best author around

  • Damn, damn, damn... what a cruel joke for nature to play on such a brilliant mind :-(

Terry Pratchett is my favourite author, and over the past 20 years I have collected and read almost every book he has written. He has such a wonderful, unique and above all, humorous, way of looking at the world.

Keep fighting this, Terry. If anyone can win this battle, you can.

  • it is very said to suddenly learn a favorite artist/author/icon is ill.

the fantasy community lost Robert jordan too soon.

but we can all take solice in the wisdom of Gaspode The Wonder Dog, who said " The food here is ruddy awful"

    its all Headology, i say

  • A brilliant and funny man.

    Not fair.

  • May the Watch stand watch over Terry.

May Moist make a stamp and coin for him.

May CMOT Dibbler name a sausage for him.

May William De Worde dedicate an entire edition to him.

May Mrs Cake stay away from him.

May the Unseen University use all it has to cure him.

  • spoken like a true fan :)

May I add my personal favourite Granny Weatherwax - may she instruct him in the art of borrowing and lend him the card that says categorically ' I Atent Dead'

    Cheers

    Carl

  • I was quite remiss in forgetting Granny. I have a brain to rival Detritus in the heat!

  • Dont worry, too many great characters to choose from! Its akin to troll counting. One, Many . . Lots!

  • I read that you enjoy arguing with idiots online but it appears we are in total agreement. I left out Death and Carrot as well (my personal delights). I remain hopeful to see these and more in future installments. I'll gladly do Terry's typing!

  • Hi

I only put that comment on when I was in a religious and political argumentative mode and was being stalked. I'm reasonable with anyone whose reasonable back. Pratchett fans are already one step up the ladder anyway because they obviously have great taste in books. Gonna change my profile now :0

  • a great man and author!

  • go, terry, go.

  • i love this man

  • He is my favorite author and also my favorite celebrity. Such an awesome person.

  • i love Pratchett and i love reading all the comments :)

  • Sir Terry Pratchett. You're the best. You will live forever, because you "(...)have completed a monument

more lasting than bronze and far higher

than that royal pile of Pyramids,

which the gnawing rain and furious

north wind cannot destroy, nor the chain

of countless years and the flight of time.", like Horace :)

  • God...I wish I could be half the writer he is. I write Comic Books professionally and take him with me with every word I write.

  • hes the best.

his books are some of the only books i read, apart from him and a couple other authors i dont read all that much.

  • Yay go Humanism!

  • i want to cry.. no one can write quite like him. have you guys read Nation? it made me laugh and cry it was so profound

  • 'Alzheimer's disease vs Terry's Wit?...hmm...'

Indeed. After all, it's a one in million chance, Stibbons. What could possibly go wrong, eh?'

Think about Lipwig getting Alzheimer's. Or Mrs. Ogg. What would they do?

Night Watch was such a great novel, it's all evolving. Unbelievable that the portal to Discworld should be just in one guy's head.

  • So sad, Alzheimer's is such a horrible disease, for a man who has given the world so many wonderful books its in no way fair.

  • Lirics someone?

Is hard for non-native to understand them but this seems to be very interesing

  • I met Terry today (29th). He was doing a book signing in Winchester, so I went along. And he has got to be one of the sweetest guys I've ever met. Really adorable

  • huh? mate, your well mental.

  • Terry Pratchett is a genius, and I thank him for his masterpiece: Discworld.

  • I'm being comlepely selfish in that I'm hoping that a cure or some drug or therepy will help Terry. I will have give up reading, because once you've read the best you cant go back to the rest. Good Luck and best wishes to you Terry.

  • I couldn't agree more. I find myself feeling the same way.

  • a true genius, may he live with dignity and continue to give us all so much pleasure. heres to the next 25 ,Stay cool terry

  • Poor terry. one of the best authors ever for sure.

  • Alzheimer's disease vs Terry's Wit?...hmm...

*puts my money on Terry Pratchett*

very awesome video, thanks for putting it up!

  • I'd put it on his wit too.

    Besides, he can always dictate.

  • bless him. if only I could return some kind of favour to make up for all the wonderful times and insights this man has given me over the years.

  • Vomita:God of squished things on roads and getting sick-to give an offering to vomitia meant?....

and i like corpral nobbs . .he has the right idea bout battlefeilds-dead have no use for jewlery

  • anyone here read the nac mac feegle trilogy? (The Wee Free Men, A hat full of sky and Wintersmith)

  • i read one book... the last... well, so what with it?

  • Well clearly nothing for you.

    That's ok.

72 million books sold in 16 years.

All but 2 of his books no1 best seller (all vategory) in the US, all of them No1 (all category) in the UK.

But if you don't like them that's fine. Lot's of people don,t...and clearly lots of people do.

    :-)

  • oh, my, another one of the specie "i-ll-show-dat-guy-how-stupid-he-is"

my message was a reply to one, interested in mac feegles triology...

  • I think Cohen the Barbarian said it best: What is best in life? Hot water, good denishtry, and shoft lavatory paper.

  • ahhh, I've always been a fan of KROM, God of Curry and Slight Breezes.....

  • Terry pratchett, an amazing author, probably the best of all time.

  • This happening to someone like Terry Pratchett is proof that there is no god.

  • not sure about that.

Renowned and brilliant writer is diagnosed with a disease that will eat away at his brain bit by bit.

I think this is a bit indicative that there is a god only he has a sadistic sense of humor.

  • Saddens me to see a favourite author suffering from such a Horroble illness.Sorry,,, Suffering was the wrong thing to say,,,, cos Terry's not suffering,,, he's getting on with his life,,, and being 1000% positive,,,

    Love you TP,,,

  • And as for Mr Pratchett - what a genius - my favorite author of all time and how I size people up (whether they like him or not). So sad that he too is victim of this terrible disease.

  • My grandfather and all of his 10 siblings had Alzheimer's and now my father has it - and at 50, I am holding my breath and hoping that there is a prevention and cure soon. They are working towards it like mad, so I'm hopeful for my dad's sake as well as mine.

  • Pratchett is and will always be a hero of mine. I'm going to push for militaristic war against alzheimers soon. I want to bring to light our worse nature to bring the scumbags in ourselves to find a way to force the status quo to put more study into a cure. Would you be willing to put a blade to a politician's throat to save such geniuses as pratchett from a slow mental death?

  • I'm so glad that he can dictate. When I heard about the typing thing a while ago I got extremely worried that the books would be ending soon.

  • OMG

  • I've been reading Pratchett since I was 11. He has been such a big part of my life.

I work on an EMI unit, caring for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias. It is a terrible disease that only gets worse. I seriously hope he doesn't have to face the kind of problems my clients have

  • oh, Terry's comment. Yes...... definitely. :)

  • No hat? My wife is completely and utterly a MAJOR Pratchett fan.

  • my favourite author. I am so sad that he has Alzheimer's (my grandmother had it as well: it's a horrible disease).

The Discworld series is one of the best series ever written: if anyone hasnt read them yet, please do, you will not regret it! Trust me on this one!

  • A few short weeks ago one of my sons turned me on to this guy & the Disc World books. What a joy, & I can't believe I wasted the last 25 yrs unaware of this world & this mind. But then, when I eagerly google my new favorite author, I find that he's facing this challenge. He's only a couple yrs older than I am. Oh shit.We cared for my Grandma during her final yr of this illness. It sucks hugely. Pratchett is approaching it w/ positive & pro-active attitude which is inspiring. But I'm sad anyway.

  • I've just discovered this author. I've just finished wintersmith and I loved it!! Do you think he's better than j k rowling??

  • Please, do not even compare them. Pratchett is my Master.

  • Way better!

  • Tiffiny is a wonderful character to get into isnt she? and the Feegles just top it off.

  • Tiffiny is a wonderful character to get into isnt she? and the Feegles just top it off.

  • I can honestly say it upset me to hear Terry Pratchett has Alzheimers. Terry is quite simply an irreplacable niceness in the world that we won't see the like of again.

  • What a great man. He's much more humble than JK Rowling.

  • his books r like, addicting...

  • I wonder if he has tried (dithiol) Chelation therapy following the amalgam removal?

Mercury from amalgam accumulates in the brain throughout the lifetime of the fillings, causing damage - but some of this can be reversed/prevented/managed with a careful longterm detox + supplementation protocol.

The continued insanity of using such a toxic material as a supposed medical treatment really is beyond belief.

British (conventional) Dentistry has a LOT to answer for.

  • this man is a fucking legend

  • I'm sure Terry Pratchett must be hooked to Black Tea & smoking :)

  • Man, I just cant get that round pool table out of my mind. Why didnt I think of that. Check it out out. Just search round pool table.
