  • Hi Bhavna, I made this for my dinner tonight. It was very quick and easy. I really enjoyed it very much and this noodle dish will become a meal that I will rely on. I only had plum sauce too and I also added a little ginger and toasted sesame oil. I forgot to put in the vinegar. Clearly a dish that is very forgiving and open for improvisation. It would be great with tofu too!

    Thanks! :)

  • what is Aaji-no-motto?

  • @mrzmartinez85

    Hi

If you read other comments on this page, you will get more ideas what it is. It is used often in indo-chinese cooking so can be found at Indian grocers. But it is totally optional to add since some people believe that it's not good for heart but I haven't read any sources stating about it. So...

  • Very delicious!! Thx for the recipe.

  • @ilikethewok

    Hi

    Enjoy!

  • Be sure to note that "aji-no-moto" is another name for MSG, a known cancer causing agent!

  • @doorguy55n

    Hi

    Thanx for sharing.

  • @doorguy55n No study so far have proved MSG causes cancer, unless you can substantiate your claim with proof, and please cite source.

  • Hi Bhavna

I just browsed into some of your videos today. Your style of cooking is very clear, congrats.

For the noodles preparation, should i use olive oil only, is there any other choice in oil

  • @aishphysics

    Hi

Thank you for your interest. It's not necessary to use olive oil but olive oil enhances the flavor of any dish. But you can use any oil you using for your everyday cooking. Enjoy!

  • That looks really good. I'm hungry now.

  • @SuperVeggieDelight I did =)) I cooked noodle in normal way

    your video is great :)

  • @guess123098

    Hi.. good you made it!

  • hi bhavna,

good tip with peanut butter. i will try next time with my noodles...

do you use smooth or crunchy one?

also what is that garlic in the jar?

  • HI

You can use either chunky one or smooth. I usually prefer chunky one but coudn't find one..

The garlic I am using is ready one I buy from supermarket. It is minced garlic. Mine is kind of paste so I like to use either crushed, finely chopped in chinese dishes.

  • i will try this soon! it has a diff theme with peanut butter and also the cilantro.

  • Hi

Yes, whenever I ate any chinese dish in restaurant, always ketp thinking of their background taste and one day I happened to walk by chinese section where they have all kind of chinese sauces. And one of them was peanut sauce. But I know that for many of us it's hard to find different sauces and I tried peanut butter. I felt exotic taste of just adding little peanut butter...so keep exploring.. and you get the taste you want...for herbs you can use even chives..
