@Cleverman50 No, there are a few. As I said if you have a well season crew in a T-90 or hell even a T-80 who have seem combat and in the M1, you have a crew that never seem combat. It's clear who will be the winner. Also, the first 6000 M1 tanks use the M256 120 mm smoothbore cannon developed by Rheinmetall AG of Germany for the Leopard 2. So they are a pretty good match for it. It's a good tank but not the best.

Plus you will never find a 100% green crew in an abrams. Ill take m1 all day and twice on fighting days!
I live in Yuma, Arizona home of Yuma Proving Grounds. They have a fleet of these down here along with T-62's, T-72's and a T-80 from Ukraine. They use them for opposition forces training and research.
Even a FlaK 88 is dangerous to an Abrams tank from the sides of the armour, which it can *and will* penetrate. Kosovo Force units from NATO peacekeepers were specially trained to not laugh at those guns, since they can and will fuck your shit up seventy years later.
The T-55, in a well experienced and trained crew's hands, is dangerous. Just because it has a 100mm gun doesn't mean it can't kill an Abrams.
Iraq's main reason for having a military is just to keep Iran at bay, as it always has been. Which with well trained crews and hopefully in the future some more modern equipment, they will be strong enough.
I think that's the 1st T-55 that I'v seen that realy look's in good running order ! I know they are getting pretty old but they are still efective with modern upgrades and well traind crews in them . They use to be a force to be reckoned with, times have changed. 200mm of armour and 100mm rifled gun are no match for modern mbt's.
Its just the way it is, 40-50 years ago, T-55's were not something to mess with.
