We had a Silky that raised two Dobies & used to chase one of them around the house. We have a new Silky puppy that jumps all over our present Dobie & can 'pin' him. @MsPSCruz Raymond is still with us but Tillie the dobie passed away little over a year ago. Shortly after her death we found out my wife was pregnant. Ray love playing with him as well. We were told silkies are not good with kids but as you can see in one of my videos he does just fine.
@ocpud2999 I sorry to hear about your lovely Doberman—they leave us way too fast. How old is Ray? My last lived to 16 yrs. My Silkies & both Dobies love/loved kids, One Silky was pet therapy certified, & present Dobie is certified. People make statements about breeds that are not necessarily true, like all Silkies are barkers & diggers (not mine) or Dobies are vicious (I've never met such). There are some cute videos on youtube w/ Dobies & babies. Congrats on ur new family member!
