@eliudramocan no, because 3 runners get a running start, which equililates to 1 second faster on each of the 3 legs who had running starts. Therefore, 37.04 + 3.00 = 40.04 / 4 = 10.01s on average (including time for handoffs). Average without handoffs is more like 9.85 or so though.

Just look at recent results, when was the last time they actually finished a relay race in a global event, 2007 in Osaka, i believe..This was the US runners fault, as he should have noticed the UK runner was a bit in his path and should have remained disciplined and run around him..
