i dont know the whole story.but taylor hicks didnt receive the attention after american idol. companies paid radio companies to not play Taylor songs on the radio because it did not fit into the pop genre.his songs from his album are radio worthy!

Taylor is one of the people that are better performance wise than the recording. if you watched american idol you would know why he won.

On this video it seems like he was given less parts to make up for all the attention he was getting..

Best top 4 ever and things worked out the best for everyone. Chris didn't need the win because his style was radio-friendly . Elliot has become a successful indie artist. Kat never wanted a full on music career, but she is acting now, which is what she wanted all along. Taylor was the most charismatic stage performer & despite never getting support from his record company, sold a respectable amount and has gone on to be a big draw in concert & on Broadway. There's more than 1 way 2 be a success
