  • we are talking 2005!! lol :) glad you enjoyed it

  • It's so much fun, I got my pole a year ago and I suggest all women take a class or buy one. It's addictive AND a really good work out. As long as you have the patience to keep trying (nothing works the first time...maybe even the fifth time around). There are tricks that have taken me months to do. Put on some good music climb the pole and you forget you are working out. Just keep at it!

  • it's also great cross-training if you're active in other performance sports! I love it because it works my body almost as hard as my regular training routein but it gives my mind something different to play with.

  • I always appreciate ladys in gentlemens clubs that can pole dance well as opposed to just bumping and grinding against the pole. Bumping and grinding isn't pole dancing and I always tip especially well at the stage when a lady takes the time and effort that goes with true pole dancing. I always let her know I appreciate her efforts. It is a shame that men ESPECIALLY do not realize what it takes to work the poll in terms of physical strength. I admire a strong women. John B. • I never knew blokes could do it!!

  • Pole dancing takes incredible strength and agility. And it's hard to climb up the pole wearing a lot of clothes, bare skin makes it easy to grip the pole without sliding down that's why they wear minimal clothing.

And pole dancing is only vulgar if you make it to be that way. Or it can be a very beautiful style of dance

  • Pole dancing is so liberating... you get to feel sexy and strong at the same time. I believe there is a difference between a dancer and a stripper. A dancer moves to the music she loves and expresses herself creatively, and yes, this is possible in a strip club as a pole dancer. A stripper does nothing more than take their clothes off for money. That's my 2 cents.

  • so they're stipper statues?

  • Don't get confused between strippers and pole performers!!! However the confusion is often made as from the gentlemen's clubs they are known to do both together!! However the Miss Pole Dance UK competitions do not involve stripping (just costume removal in the glamour category!!) Innovating something new is always a challenge! but thanks for commenting. xx

  • Poledancing as art is supposed to play on desire or sensuality. Its exhibitionist, what people are in awe about is the body, enhanced/exemplified by moves.Dance places more emphasis on technical sequences of moves.

Poledancing is like watching a moving sculpture. Anyone who thinks it's art without being sexual or erotic is missing the point. The female body moving like this is great because it almost vicariously arouses our (timeless) senses and feelings

miss poledance aus2006 case in point.

  • What a fantastic collection of beautiful and strong women empowering girls everywhere by doing what they love! I love this unique artform, all the forms and techniques captured in these photographs make me wish I was there!!! Fantastic stuff <3

  • no some of us can enjoy dance without it being an extrememly sexual thing. As you can see a lot of the ladies that competed have dance and acrobatic skill like gymnast. That what i like. There's such an amazing display of creativity. Next time you get ready to say something negative like that realize that we as females have a lot against us in society and the best way to get past our oppression is to break out and be confident.

  • Pole dancing is considered to be mostly taboo.

They really do look like strippers;look at the way they're dressed! They could of just worn regular dance clothes.

I understand where you're coming from, but lots of females still think pole dancing is vulger, even if they do love dance.

  • true enough. but, maybe everyone would see how free and good they'd feel if they just tried dressing like a stipper?

  • While I can see what you're saying, regular dance clothes won't work for pole-dancing because you need the contact of skin on the pole to create enough friction for you to hang on. The long boots protect the legs from bruising when you're catching yourself with your legs and the plastic boots and shoes help you climb ... all very complex! I think they all look great and are brilliant dancers!

  • Superb, Fantastic, Awesome!!!

  • amazing

  • About time!! x fantastic
