The dancer in this song is Rehana (who was a famous actress in India). She was known as the dancing damsel of "Bombay Talkies". Her most films in India include Sargam with Raj Kapoor and Sagai with Prem Nath. She migrated to Pakistan in 1955 and appeared opposite Suhdir in Shalimar (1956).
She worked in few more films but failed to make an impression. Perhaps her only hit movie in Pakistan was Raat Kai Rahi. In the later part of her career she was reduced to bit roles in films like Dulhan and Dil ne Tujhe Maan Liya. Nowadays she is living a life of seclusion in Karachi.
She mostly used to appear in movies directed by P.L. Santosh who had a crush on her. It is said that he wrote this famous Lata song for her "Tum na jano tumhari yaad mein" for the film Shin Shinaki Boobla Boo, M/D :- C.Ramchandra.
