Just so people are aware, Cristina was gracious enough to use her voice for Ranka Lee in an english adaption I did last year for Macross Frontier Episode 1. I worked the video as an ultimate edition merging both episode variations' highpoints as one large 32 minute release. Sadly, Bandai doesn't like that and has had youtube just block the snot out of it so it's not available for viewing. I'm sorry guys :(

kinda been in the works on and off. It's not easy to do those popish japanese songs into english, the only one I managed to do besides this song was Zero G Love. Also sadly there are some other songs that did not have Instrumental only tracks which bums me out. If they were available I think Cristina would do an English version of Flashback 2012.

No, there's been no real english edition, it was thanks to me discovering someone actually having a decent lyric set for the song and then tweeking it to work better with the melody. After that I gave it to Cristina since she loved the song. Since then she recorded the classic Mari Iijima version and the Ranka Lee edition.

here's the tricky thing about doing a literal translation of japanese music, it doesn't make sense. That's the jest of it. You have to take the breakage of words into account, from Japanese to English. Sometimes completely writing a songs meaning. Remember, a song is like a poem, and in japanese a poem is at times a word game. That word game makes no sense in a literal english translation once broken down.
