The only thing wrong with standard nuclear fission plants is that they can potentially blow up, melt down m and release deadly radioactive gases. There is an alternative form of nuclear plant, the Thorium based LFTR molten salt type, which does not have all these dangers, but still produces plenty of power. They've been developed, tested ,and abandoned in the US years ago because they didn't produce bomb material. Now we need them.
